"Excellent food, excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. Very pleasant. Arancini was great. Meatballs with sauce were the best I ever had. Salad with smoked fish was the best I ever had. 3 different smoked fish salmon, tuna and swordfish, all big. This is the place for lunch in Ortigia. Easy walk from the hotel and all attractions. We was walking around and need a break. Al sud was a very good place to take a fast snack and some coffee.

Ordered Pane cunzatu Eoliano and Capo E Cacio. It was extremly oversalted, could not eat even third of the meal, then left. The Via Cavour offers much more suitable places for your dinner. Price OK.

Great place for lunch. The food was brilliant the salads especially l had one that contained both tuna and swordfish in very large amounts. Try the locally roasted beer, it's great. Very recommended.

The food was phenomenal. Her spicy chicken and vegetable soup burst with taste. The cheese plate was also very pleasant. Overall, the atmosphere of the shop is very hip and cozy. The staff was efficient and nice, but not very friendly. Nevertheless, it was a great experience!

My family had a magnificent lunch at Al Sud today. The food was authentic, tasty and very generous servings. The service by Roberta and Stacey was friendly, helpful and most accommodating. Our limited Italian was treated very respectfully. This is a must visit for any family visiting Syracuse.

This non-restaurant, this is bar with simple kitchen to take a breakfast or quick dinner, or just coffee break. Coffee, croissants, cannelloni are good. The staff is very friendly, English menu and beautiful views round, sometimes even live music inside. This very cozy place! And happy hour from 6 to 8 pm! Recommended.
