Had a delivery from here for the first time, took one mouthfull of the chicken and realised it was uncooked and still frozen, phoned to complain the owner admitted it was frozen but refused to refund me, visited his shop still after showing him the food he refused to refund me, now off to the environmental health, stay away cheap frozen food

Hi all !! Am a regular visitor to Poole!! I never use any other Chinese in the area !! Had a problem a few weeks ago not with the company but a rude and obnoxious driver !! Just had a delivery from them and have to say they gave me a discount for the problem and delivered as agreed ,, so would like to say thank you to all at Alex wok !! Thanks Richardhedger

The only good part about my order was the shredded duck. The rest of my order had no taste to it! Majority of it ended up going in the bin as it was just not nice to eat! The chow mein was so watery, lemon chicken was so bland! sweet chilli chicken again was not nice! The egg fried rice did not taste the way it should and was brown for some reason. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and after seeing the great reviews online, I decided to give it a try. We opted for takeout since the estimated wait time was only 20 minutes. The shop was clean and smelled amazing. The girl at the front desk greeted us warmly, and our food was ready just 5 minutes later. Everything we ordered, including chow mein noodles, king prawns in sweet chili sauce, smoked chicken, and chicken balls, was delicious. I will definitely be returning to this place in the future.

I have been using Alex Wok for probably 30 years and have always found the food, service and delivery to be first class. Lately they have started adding a 'small order charge ' to deliveries under £20 which is, in my opinion, unacceptable. I have just cancelled an order for this reason and I would imagine Alex Wok will lose around 12 to 15 orders per year for their greed. I 'm sure the restaurant will have many reasons for this charge however I see no reason why an order for one person if less than £20 should be penalised in this way.

Today, I ordered king prawns with black bean and green pepper for a few of us at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the dish I received was disappointing. It consisted of sloppy red, yellow, and possibly some green peppers on top of an under-ripe pepper, along with overcooked, tightly curled prawns. The other dishes we ordered were edible but not enjoyable, as we were too hungry to refuse them. Additionally, the online ordering process was problematic, constantly updating and causing us to miss out on a large portion of rice. I called the restaurant to express my dissatisfaction, but the offer of more of the same food was not appealing. Overall, I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.... Speisekarte ansehen
