I stopped with friends. Of course, I ordered a spit chicken with chips and sauces. excellently baked parsley perfectly flavored with a slightly spicy mix of spices, accompanied by fried potatoes burghers sauce and garlic sauce parsley. German beer ayinger excellent. Seats, also external, well distributed . chicken rabbit with spit.

great place to stop either by pedaling on cyclovia alpeadria or returning from the carnia or after visiting the surroundings and vezone. delicious the chicken with the spit served with fried sauces and potatoes or even with grilled vegetables but also the various dishes of the menu ranging from the first to the pizza. in the various lunches and dinners we have tried almost everything. so much outdoor space for hot and sunny days. sympathy and kindness of the waiters. When on our annual holiday in Carinthia we will visit Allo Spiedo several times, because the pizzaiola there prepares my favorite pizza, pizza Carnica, to perfection. Furthermore, my travel companion reports, that the pasta, prepared in the kitchen of Allo Spiedo is very tasty. Add a ample parking area in front of the restaurant, a nice outdoor seating area, efficient waitresses and a management bill, then a stop at lunch time is almost automatically, when we are in the neighbourhood. However, as Allo Spiedo is situated directly at the SS13 motorway, close to the historic city of Venzone, Allo Spiedo tends to be rather busy, caused by passing tourist groups on electric bicycle or motor bike....

A year ago the pizzaiola of Allo Spiedo produced the best pizza I ever had. This was the pizza Rustica with Sauris ham and local cheese. So this september 2022 I stepped onto the porch with the outdoor tables of Allo Spiedo with high expectations and ordered of course a pizza Rustica. No anxiety of failure was necessary. The pizza was as tasty as last year. As Allo Spiedo is located at the SS13 main thoroughfare, close to the top tourist attraction of the historic center of Venzone, it can be very busy with groups of cyclists or motor bikers, especially round lunch time. But I must compliment the staff with their efficient and friendly service, even when large groups of tourists on electric...

Italians know a thing or two about preparing a tasty pizza. The best ingredients, oven at the right temperature and a skilful pizzaiolo do the trick. The only places you may get an overpriced mediocre pizza is in the tourist traps in Rome, Venice, Florence (complete this list to your liking). As the Friuli is not very touristy compared with the places I mentioned, there are numerous places you can get a decent pizza for a reasonable price. I have reviewed several in the past and mostly for a four point rating.
