We had a delightful evening celebrating a special anniversary with our family. The food was wonderful, and the service was outstanding.

Been going there ever since I was 18 ! . Don't live there anymore but I always make a point of going back to the Anchor. I'm 67 now. Wonderful pub.

The staff at this pub are friendly, and the establishment is clean. It attracts a pleasant clientele. The food is incredibly good value for the money, with excellent quality and well-presented dishes. I would rate the service a 5 and the location a 5 as well. Overall, it’s a fantastic experience!

Absolutely fantastic! I booked a stay here on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. We had a lovely local walk, then came back for lunch and later dinner. The food was outstanding, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were perfect, and we appreciated having breakfast in our room since we had to leave early the next day. Highly recommended! As usual promt,polite service with good value for money.We took the dogs for a walk and had lunch in the pub garden for the first time this year. I've recomended the Anchor to all my friends and will be going back again soon.Location is good for a walk along the severn way at Oldbury even a large free carpark just opposite and slightly right of the pub.

We reserved a table for a 90th birthday dinner for 20 people last Thursday, and it was excellent from start to finish. The food was delicious and served all at once, piping hot. There was a wide variety of meat and fish dishes available, although the menu could use more vegetarian options. The waitstaff was fantastic—helpful and attentive throughout the evening. We brought our own cake, which they kindly served for us. Everyone had a wonderful time!

I really appreciate that the appearance and atmosphere of this village pub have remained unchanged since the 1980s. The cozy fireside chairs, the oval barley-twist-legged table with its polished wooden surface, and the cheerful chatter (especially from the side entrance) all felt familiar, despite the passing years. It's refreshing to see a pub that doesn’t feel the need to change or "modernize," as its commitment to well-kept beer and delicious, hearty food has solidified its status as the vibrant hub of the village, warmly welcoming customers from far and wide.
