Recommended by our AirBnB host, this was a perfect first night in Italy meal. We wanted authenticity and something less touristy. This met all that criteria. The staff were lovely and accommodating!

I've been telling myself I wanted to go for years. and I should have done it before: the local is really pleasant and the kitchen really good (lasagna with asparagus and ham and a beef cooked to Sangiovese that, as anticipated by those who we needed, you cut with the fork and also the service: informal but very professional!

We ate at this restaurant twice during our stay in Bologna between 23rd and 29th April 2023, the staff and food there were excellent, thoroughly recommend this restaurant. They are so enthusiastic about the food they serve and the customer dining experience, the attention to detail in preparation was superb resulting in excellent dishes. We can thoroughly recommend the Tortelini, the lasagne, the roast pork, the pear sorbet, the braised beef, the risotto and the banana bread. The wine selection was also excellent we tried the Sarotto Barollo 15.5% and Sangovese 14.5% which were lovely, complimenting the food.

I will try to be balanced here. This place has a calm ambience about it and a friendly waiting staff including the proprietor. There is no written food menu with pricing so I guess make sure you ask unless money is no object for you. The guy listed verbally the choices. We enjoyed some mixed appetisers and also the main course of suckling pig tender and salty, very good. Some of us has a pasta course that just didn’t work tagliatelle in a creamy sauce with ham so everything was just brittle and salty, with what looked like nice truffles but a mere adornment no flavour to be sensed.
