lovely place to go for lunch or dinner. very welcoming staff. food quality very good indeed. reasonably priced. parking can be difficult.

The first time trying here food was amazing staff were brilliant definitely would recommend, the view is lovely too, which would be a really nice place to sit outside in the summer

We love the Applebank, it's family friendly, dog friendly. Food is fantastic and you have a beautiful view of the river. The staff are very attentive and friendly, we dont live local to here but we are never away it just has a great atmosphere. Speisekarte ansehen

Just had one of the best meals I’ve had all year. Got the steak and a pasta dish which were fresh, tasty and served super quick. Had the same steak from Miller Carter a few weeks ago, which had nothing on this. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Couldn’t believe the bill either! Definitely will be back, service with a smile And Big George was allowed outside in the dog area

Lovely food reasonably priced. My only concern is when you go to the car park at the side of the building It's very dark but also there is low roof edge which you could easily catch your face on and the steps are hard to see need to be very careful The lighting is very poor. A serious accident waiting to happen. Otherwise it's a fantastic location friendly staff and will go back again.

Went today for lunch. Had no record of our booking .kindly gave us a table. Lady in charge was clearly overwhelmed and short staffed. Food was inedible, service non existent and attitude was even more upsetting as a guest . It’s hard to justify paying these prices for food that you just can’t eat, I truly understand you get what you pay for! Not being able to eat at all is unacceptable. Speisekarte ansehen

Food was not great .. short staffed .. rude manager … overall the drink was ok but the food was not great I will not be back … the manager is rude and not very welcoming…. Never ate any of the food as it was not presented in the best of ways.. I understand that places can be short staffed but to be rude and make paying customers feel uncomfortable is not acceptable… only gave 2 stars because the Rosie wine was nice…would have been 1

Food was really good Good sized portions The only wee problem I had was that the mash was reheated a bit firm for my liking... It s a minor point but I hate stew with a bit of puff pastry in top called steak pie! It isn't steak pie unless the lid is cooked on top of the stew Value for money was good Staff were lovely Only thing was one of our party asked the waitress if her meal could be packed up to go another waitress lifted it put dirty cutlery in it so couldn't take it home Shame as it was such a waste

First time visiting with family and loved the experience. We sat in the corner and told my young son that the black lady ghost would visit him if he didn't eat all his dinner! He never left anything! Brilliant! The atmosphere was lovely a really pretty building, the staff were lovely and polite and service was quick. The food for all concerned was delicious and arrived piping hot. It was so good I only managed pictures of the starter! Would thoroughly recommend. Covid restrictions in place are masks whilst moving about and staff are disinfecting surfaces between customers. There is a small carpark to the rear, we parked at the bottom of the hill and walked it up so gives us a little work out... Speisekarte ansehen
