"This brasserie is placed on the edge of parc Gerland so seems like a perfect choice if you are in the area. Otherwise it's a bit of a trip from central Lyon. The place boasts noble beginnings with Bocuse himself launching the cuisine and former...president Sarkozi on the pictures at the entrance. Popular with groups, expect some noise during the busy weekends, so make sure to reserve. The food is priced in a fairly ambitious manner, main course is about euro, two course menu is about but there is a surplus on Sundays. Wines are priced from up per bottle, which is quite steep for Lyon, but hey, this is a ex-Bocuse place. I've been here more than once, and the experience was not always the same. Last time we had foie-gras for a starter which was over salted to a mediocre standart (luckily we get to judge with personal references in Alsace and in Périgord). The red mullet Bouillabaisse was also pretty salty, seems like the fish just sit there in the freezer waiting for it's hour. The deserts are to euro and are quite simple. The locals love ordering a rum-baba which comes with a bottle of old rum to use as you please. The service is correct, but you must be a long-time regular to get a smile. The place is quite busy, so the waiters are moving constantly between the tables, leaving an impression of constant action around you. Generally, not a great value for money, especially on Sundays."
