Arthur's Cafe - Speisekarte

This small town restaurant is a great spot for a drink. The service is good, but the staff can be a bit indifferent. The lunch menu is limited due to short staffing.

Had a quick lunch here-but disappointing,lots of dishes unavailable? Would’ve loved to have had a meal here during our weeks stay but it was closed for 5 days. Lovely location and very clean inside.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch and coffee at this fantastic restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious and the coffee was served piping hot. We highly recommend this place and look forward to returning soon. Speisekarte ansehen

Went to Laugharne to visit Dylan Thomas' house memo to self, check the opening times before going it was shut on the day we visited! Went to Arthur's in Grist Square for a coffee and cake. Made to feel very welcome and the food and coffee were great. Would certainly go again if we are in that part of Wales.

I visited this restaurant for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I had an English breakfast and pancakes with fresh fruit, local honey, and Greek yogurt. We also ordered a pot of tea for two. All for less than £20! The sunny patio was lovely, the service was good, and the food was high quality. The menu had a lot of variety. I would definitely come back and recommend it to others. The only downside was that the outdoor furniture was a bit unstable.

We made a pit stop stop here for tea and toasted tea cakes. We didn’t want anything more on this occasion, but we noted that the menu was very interesting with many very tempting items on offer. Sandwiches were certainly not “run of the mill” and were very substantial, well-priced and, if we’d been hungrier, we’d have certainly ordered some. Our tea was nicely strong and our tea cakes very large and tasty. Service was efficient and friendly and everything was well-priced. It’s a great place. Highly recommended. Speisekarte ansehen

We visited as a family of 6 without booking. We were lucky to get a table as they were quite busy for a Wednesday..We had a selection of dishes between us which were all delicious..especially the home made fish and chips and local butchers pie of the week, lovely gravy ...a very good selection of dishes to suit all tastes and dietary needs considering that they are predominantly a seafood food restaurant ..excellent service, lovely and clean nice quirky decor. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others .diolch ..

My husband had todays special which was steak and ale pie with mash, peas and gravy for £15. The Pie was full of gristle and very tasteless. It was supposedly made by a local butcher but I doubt that because I live locally, buying from our butchers who make delicious homemade pies and this was not one of them. The portion of mash and frozen peas very small also. I am vegetarian and the the choice of veggie food was very small half of which was unavailable. So we cobbled a bread roll together with a bit of cheese and coleslaw. Sorry to moan as the staff were very cheerful and attentive.

So it would be unfair to say this was average but we would not rate as very good for a couple of reasons. Firstly there was just one waitress who did her absolute best to try and look after a very full restaurant but struggled and we felt sorry for her. My wife had a special of fishcakes which she said were excellent and a good portion. I had the scampi, which was ok but maybe a little greasy but that was maybe because it had not had time to rest as they were trying to get food out. Also the chips were very undercooked. My wife enjoyed her Pinot Grigio and we were going to have coffee and cake but waited 20 minutes and could not get the attention of the poor waitress so we decided to pay and... Speisekarte ansehen
