"This is a great restaurant, and I always come here for lunch if I am in Wells. It has a nice bright modern looking interior and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is situated at the top of town next to the street market and just before you get to the cathederal. Ask is a family friendly restaurant with plenty of high chairs and last time I was in here with my children they gave my little girl an activity pack with little pencils and stickers which I thought was a really nice touch and it kept her amused. The have a good range of pizzas and pastas, my favourite is the vegetairan pizza which has loads of nice chunks of vegetables in it, the pizza is not quite as nice a pizza express pizzas but they do a better range of pasta. My favourite dish is their baked mushroom starter, it is delicious!"

The vegan pizza is good, although it's fairly pricey. However, the staff are quite rude, so I won’t be returning. Fortunately, Wells has plenty of other better choices.

On the downside, the drinks are a bit pricey. Reservations are essential due to the crowds. Additionally, parking can be a challenge at times, and finding the restaurant isn’t the easiest.

This is a reasonably good Italian restaurant located in the marketplace in Wells. The decor is tidy and appealing. The service was satisfactory and friendly. My pasta dish was average, and the pizza was also just okay.

This is the best Ask restaurant I have ever visited. It is consistently clean, and the interior is beautifully presented. The food is excellent, and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend the Goats Cheese salad—it's absolutely divine. Located right in the heart of Wells, it sits beneath the Cathedral and overlooks the Cathedral gardens. There is ample seating, but if you plan to visit on a weekend, it's a good idea to make a reservation.

What I received was a bowl of dry lettuce with just one pea—no asparagus, no vegan cheese, only a few canned pepper slices on top, and perhaps five or six quinoa grains. There were no pine nuts, no olive oil, no dressing—nothing. I couldn’t believe what I saw, and I was charged £17 for that! It was absolutely unacceptable. As for my sister’s bolognese, it didn't fare any better; the spaghetti was overcooked and lacked flavor, containing only a few lentils and some bland tomato sauce. This restaurant should be embarrassed by the quality of their food.

I love this restaurant. I have been going here ever since 2008, still to this day it maintains its excellence and excells in making great Italian food. The pizzas are immense, and the pasta is a mouth watering sensation. The employees The people who work there are great at what they do. The waiter/waitresses are extremely friendly and always assure you of a great meal. If you have kids they will always keep them occupied with colouring pencils and various puzzles, if your child is impatient, this is the place I recommend. This place does not have any cons in my opinion and I hope for it to maintain its brilliance and keep walking in the right direction
