beautiful meal. each in our party of eight loved all their courses and my little boy had a beautiful birthday evening. many thanks to all those who were attentive, friendly and very efficient. this is our fifth time at ask lichfield and the consistency is very impressive.

I made a meal here with my friend. all staff were so polite, attentive and friendly. the food came out so quickly and was delicious. I even asked to take my rest home, because I didn't want them to go to waste! all round a great experience. many thanks, could not ask for more.

Great little restaurant serving good pizza and pasta, and a decent selection of wines and drinks. ASK is in a good location with plenty of parking nearby. Inside is a snug restaurant with low ceilings, outisde is a nice large seating area. Staff are friendly, and the food can be served quickly if you ask

The food served here is good quality although I think the pizzas are much nicer than the pasta dishes. I have never had quick service though. During the day they are always quiet and seem to have hardly any staff I have waited 30 minutes to an hour for food at lunch time. They are child friendly though; highchairs etc and my daughter loves the children's menu.

mum and I went to ask italian in lichfield for birthday (6 December) that was our first visit. we had a fabulous meal, eat delicious and piping hot! service was great with friendly attentive staff. to be honest, I was very impressed how busy it was on a Wednesday night and still we had no waiting for service or eating. I would definitely recommend and will return very soon. Thank you for making my birthday good.

Went on a Saturday evening, 4 adults, had a table booked for 8.30pm phoned to change last minute to 9pm the restaurant was very accommodating. All four of us had different starters main courses everyone was pleased with the portion sizes, taste etc. None of us had dessert as we were all too full! It is reasonably priced; bill came to just over £100 including a drink each. Only disappointing thing is they don 't accept Tesco clubcard vouchers I 'd already exchanged mine for 'Ask '

This is a lovely branch of Ask, usually pretty quiet (in the week, when I tend to go), with polite and friendly staff. I'm surprised at the negative feedback here as I am always pleased with the quality of food and the service, which,combined with the very frequent discount deals the chain does, makes a meal here very affordable. Good for post-work meals or late Sunday lunches in my experience, and there's a lovely outdoor area when the sun's shining for a bit of al fresco dining. Well located with tons of nearby parking.

Usually when I go to this restaurant the staff are friendly and they want to serve you, however the last time I went I did feel like leaving and going to another restaurant because it was obvious from the look on the MANAGER'S face, that he didn't want to do another cover!!!! The food that day was also very oily. I would return back to the restaurant as it's quick service and reasonable food with usually friendly staff. Also the vouchers and discount they give you are very frequent and useful. It's a great restaurant for families as they are very welcoming to children. They have activities and a great kids menu!

I always have the same unfortunate experience every time I visit Ask, which is a shame as I live 30 seconds from its front door. I'd like to be able to say prepare yourselves for a superb dining experience but I can't; Prepare yourselves for slow, unapologetic service, overcooked food, and prices that aren't justified. As a reviewer before me commented, there's just not enough members of waiting staff. Food is left to go cold while it waits for someone to deliver it to the table, which is a shame because apart from having a few burnt pizzas I've actually enjoyed a good pasta dish once or twice except it's been cold by the time it arrived.
