"This is a delightful dining experience that has become a can't miss visit for me on Parisian trips (especially after a week of heavy classic French cuisine! Au Coin des Gourmets is a family run Vietnamese restaurant that makes you feel welcomed and cared for Chhim...works the front of the house, with Barbara cooking all the dishes. The menu is sprinkled with their personal touches such as each of their recommendations. Located near the Tuileries and La Place de la Concorde, it never feels crowded or touristy and is reasonably priced. I have visited in autumn and winter for their warming pho and great tea selection, and most recently went back in a summer heat wave to enjoy cold dishes like Goi Cuon (and AC, which is rare in Paris . A few tips Come early or make a reservation. Since this is a duo running the place, they open for limited hours for lunch and then again for dinner. They know how many people they can reasonably serve and are not trying to turnover tables. I have witnessed parties coming in after 2pm into a populated restaurant just to be told it is closed. I arrived at noon without a reservation and stayed until 3pm without issue. Once you are seated, they are attentive and do not rush you out. If you are used to American sized portions, know most of their entrees do not come with carbs but that you can order from a variety of rice or noodles as a side for about 3 euros. It is also a great place for family style dining. Order an array of selections from the menu, and they will portion for the number in your party for easy sharing. Speak both French and English for visitors. A relaxing hidden gem dining experience in a busy, touristy area of Paris that truly makes you feel like a VIP. Cannot recommend it enough!"

A classic neo-colonial Indochinese restaurant. Subtle flavors, beautifully presented. Very good service.

One of our favorite restaurants in Paris. The dishes are refined and flavorful, and Chhim's wine pairing takes the entire dining experience to another level.

This is a delightful and intimate Vietnamese restaurant. Everything that we ordered was fresh, distinctive and tasty. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm, perfect for a casual lunch dinner

Wonderful and needed discovery around the corner from the wonderful Hotel Mayfair off Rue de Rivoli in Paris. On our last night in France we need a change. This small restaurant keeps its original name in honor of the current owner/chef's father. It is also...called Indochine. For under a $100 the food was delicious and the service top notch. His sister was the Chef at Indochine in Andy Warhol's heyday.

Worst pho I 've ever had. 17 Euros for a large that comes in the same sized bowl as a small. I guess large means some extra soup. We would know since we ordered 3 large and 2 small. If there was anything else added it...would have been negligible. Asked for fried chicken wings and got some sort of stuffed chicken that was not good at all. Beef satay may have been its saving grace except that too was overpriced.

We had a lovely meal. The food (scallops and prawns) was extremely tasty and we squeezed in banana beignets and mango afterwards, which were equally delicious. The portions were not huge but were perfectly adequate and we were advised well on what to accompany our...dishes with. Service and ambience were excellent and, all in all, we had a wonderful evening and would definitely go again. We also paid half what we paid the previous evening for a vastly inferior meal at another restaurant.

A small but chic family-run restaurant which I had stumbled on after the Louvre more than 10 years ago, seemed as popular as ever. Reservations are recommended especially for lunch, since the place attracts local business persons. Every dish we have had so far...was tasty. A must eat, among others, is Amok (white fish curry steamed in banana leaves), wh...

We were seated in the basement. The chemical scent they use in the bathrooms was overpowering and made it hard to taste much less enjoy the food. Might have been a better experience if we were seated upstairs, but that looked like especially close seating....Food struck me as pretty mediocre, especially for value. I got the scallops in lemongrass which consisted of a very few mid-size scallops in a tiny bowl swimming in a very salty and not particularly tasty sauce at about 8 euro per scallop. Rest of the the table got a range of things from duck to shrimp, but no one commented on how tasty the food was. By general consent everyone thought it best to go for dessert elsewhere. All in all rath...
