"If you want scrumptious and delicious Japanese food with a French twist, you should definitely come check out this restaurant! I came here with my family, and I would definitely come again for family or friend get togethers, business meetings, and romantic dinners. This chef appeared on TV!! And makes amazing dishes! The dining experience is amazing! I tried multiple entrees and plates with different fish and French twists such as with magret de canard and foie gras, and it was just so good! I have been to many Teppanyaki restaurants in the United States, but they do not compare to this restaurant! The cook's performance is more entertaining and friendly. And the food has real flavor and a great presentation on the plate. The staff is very nice! They were always attending to our table and the chef personally came to visit us to ask of our dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

Superficial. The food is correct, but it is not japanese at all. The show is average, the cooker failed many times... He managed to put a piece of tofu in my beer (8€/25cl). I did not get a new one. The staff applause each time a cooker do something, that's ridiculouse we're not on a TV show...It's expensive !If you really want to discover a japanese teppanyaki go somewhere else (Yonghua for exemple)!

Wonderful food! I was taken there for my birthday so I'm guessing the cost.Whatever it was it was worth it! Sushi teppanyaki fusion and all was excellent. The lobster salad to start was amazing, a seaweed type teppanyaki thing was delicious. Can't comment on the desserts as my group had taken an excellent birthday cake there from one of the famous patisseries.Wear the bibs offered as it gets a bit splashy with the chef tossing food around!Definitely would go again on my return to Paris.

I am not really fond of Teppanyaki in general because I prefer to focus on my friends and my food rather than on an excited cooking showman chef, whatever nimble he may be.However, that Teppanyaki happily surprised me because:- the food was very fresh and qualitative,- the atmosphere was classier and calmer and the chef more discreet than in the other Teppanyaki I know. The cheapest menu I took, 29€, includes:- for starters, salmon carpaccio, salmon sushi or Californian rolls,- for main course, some fried rolls, grilled beef and soy beans.Desserts cost 7-10€, well overpriced. Other menus around 50€ and above.

A friend of mine called Idriss, is the most resourceful when it comes to identify uncelebrated gems in terms of hotels and restaurants in Paris. I asked him for something original to take my daughter and a friend and he warmly recommended the Comptoir Nippon. The area near Tour Montparnasse is not extraordinary nor is the restaurant from the outside. The inside looks like any other professional Japanese restaurant. But when it comes to service, quality and originality of the food (you may either eat traditional Japanese or creative Japanese/French cuisine) and excellence of the drinks (great wines and far from expensive), it is OUTSTANDING! I went back twice since and never was disappointed....
