"I've been hearing about the "goddy goose" for a long time, with very often praiseworthy comments. My birthday was thus to become the pretext of a visit with a very faithful accomplice of these evenings of gastronomic discoveries. The restaurant on the edge of garonne and rocade, is not easy to find (it's better to have a gps!), but arrived close to the signposts were there to guide us. The proximity of the rocade surprises at first, mys is not disturbing from the terrace, it is indeed dominated by the conversations of the very many guests. the proximity of the garonne has transformed the meal into a duel with mosquitoes...We took the tasting menu with agreement with dishes and wines to 75 € all understood, to which added mineral water, tea and coffee...As a first put in the mouth, we were able to taste a panna cotta of foie gras on a creamy apricot. small singular detail, the small spoon, larger than the lower diameter of the verrine, did not allow access to the whole cream!!! We had to use the sleeve of the small spoon to finish the lock! the creamy apricot was very good, the panna cotta was very light in foie gras whose flavor was not obvious to find. The lobster and langoustins who followed was good, but no surprise. The menu itself began with a sashimi of bar with tops of orange, a spuma with lemon verveine, served with a white wine mosellan, which could only perfectly match with the dish. Unfortunately, the wine was not cold enough, almost at the outside temperature: damage! The dish itself was really very good, perhaps the only real good surprise of this meal. Following a slice of foie gras with black truffle, served with an excellent soft white wine of sweet gaillac from the Vigné-Lourac domain. The liver was good, the wine was a pleasant discovery. Following hazelnuts of deer onion jam, the meat was very well cooked, accompanied by an excellent wine from the estate of Haute-Bassière, another very pleasant surprise of the meal. The cheese tray was good, with the exception of an ashy goat log, too dry to my taste. A pre-dessert served in the same worms and with the same little spoons has again confronted us with the problem mentioned above. A creamy chocolate-orange served with an ice cream with olive oil ended this meal nicely, even if the ice was a bit shy in olive oil, we enjoyed finding it the flavor of more obvious façn.To finish, a coffee and tea accompanied by mignardises concluded this meal. the guimauve to the grenadine, pleasantly recalled flavors and colors of childhood, the macaron to the praline had nothing spitting under the tooth, but had an intermediate texture between the guimauve evoked and something chewingum (humidity due to the proximity of the garonne, manufacture of the eve, ?!.) the financier suffered from the same problem as the macaroon. The whole meal was good, but was a little bit of a surprise. I had dinner, the previous week at the "p'tits fayots", as much as saying that the cuisine of Aziz mokhtari is otherwise more inventive, to have tears in the eyes, for 55€ without the wines. same feeling a month earlier at guillaume monboisse in 7 place Saint-Sernin (98 € with chords-vins, that I absolutely do not regret !). short a good meal but which despite the very good oenological surprises, probably won't have a taste of "return to it"!!!"
