Brilliant food and service in a lovely old inn. Ate here two nights in a row as it was so good. Well worth travelling to get to.

Came here for lunch with some friends. Service from the start was great and I liked that they brought over a specials board to start. My prawn and scampi salad was so good and we didn't feel rushed at all despite it being busy.

We visited this pub twice for dinner during our week stay at Loch Leven. The food was excellent, as was the service, attention to detail and friendliness of the staff.. We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area.

Party of nine all our meals were superb service was excellent nothing to much trouble. Had only visited pub once before and had lunch booked for family get together and was not disappointed. Would highly recommend and will certainly return.

We have visited a number of times, we enjoy the ambience and intimacy of the place. This visit was for lunch as a wee treat, we each had 3 courses and we all commented on how good the food was, it was lovely the best I have had for a while. We stayed in the area for 5 days and visited the Balgedie Toll Tavern 3 times. Neil and his staff went above and beyond to make us visitors feel welcomed. The chef is a marvel! My husband swears his Steak pie was the best he’s eaten in all his 70 years! We sampled several dishes and all of them were excellent. We loved the atmosphere and enjoyed our conversations with the owner and staff. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the neighborhood.

Lunch for two with my husband, Donald had the fish and chips which was excellent as always, if we could buy the pesto peas in bulk we would! I had the special today which was land and mint meatballs in a tomato sauce with feta crumble, linguine and crispy tortilla. Outstanding. I managed one meetball and bought the rest home for dinner, we always get the onion rings, they’re something else. Angie and the team where fantastic as always, how this restaurant doesn’t have a Michelin star I don’t know, the food is immaculate.

We were staying for nearby for a few days, and fancied a meal out. This was the most convenient place for us, so we booked what we assumed would be just a normal pub meal. How wrong we were! It was so much more: the service and the food were exceptional, the dishes offering tasty and imaginative combinations of predominantly local and very fresh produce. We were really impressed that portions of the mains were available in two sizes, too: not everyone has the same sized appetites.
