"we were just a few days away in France and drove constantly to north (to the ferry from ouistreham back to portsmouth). this followed a visit to our second-ranking rotary club, located in the French community, in the southwest of France, to help their members...her 50. Annual day of charter as a rotary club. we had inaugurated in our hotel at the fifth night here in clisson and the research on the second day did not offer a large number of alternatives. Many of the restaurants we would have liked to visit were closed as it was the week. we were recommended to this restaurant by the tourist information center in the upper part of the clisson city. it was a walk of probably 15 minutes to this restaurant, which is on the river la sèvre nantaise. to get from our hotel, they must first climb to the upper north street (rue du dr boutin) and then descend to the same river (it is a real shame to follow, there is no river way). the personal of the tourist information had made a reservation for us and at the arrival we have a slow moving waiting queue at the entrance. Luckily, a member of the bar staff has discovered us because we did not look like average bar customers. we were quickly shown up to a big escaping. a few early diners were already eaten at tables, and when our food was served, there were no tables free. we ordered the same local muscadet sur lee as we enjoyed it in our hotel and studied the menu. To be honest, the menu offered little we liked. it was too “French” for us: hardly healed white fish, escargot, black carvings and the like. this is only not according to our taste, and although it is “usual” for the French, it is not often liked by brittle. my appetizer from cured white fishing made me gag and I could only eat some of them with a mouthful broth. the foie gras ravioli of my partner was edible, but the thought of eating the accompanying escargot made it again. my head was openly worth about a quarter of its cost: the lamb-snell delivered about one inch of the flesh the rest was with the fat and hardly to get the up. the main piece of the canine of my partner was probably the top that was best suited and enjoyed for British flavors. all the main plates were missing enough vegetables. desserts were taken and were not too bad, but I feared at the time our disappointment had overtaken a pleasure, and I cannot remember what we had: a memory that was best forgotten. we have done our best to enjoy our eating, but if they don't really, really like French cuisine then stay away. I'm sorry to write this, but I have to be honest about other tourist sites than what a bit of a fall is."

Belle découverte ce midi, terrasse au bord de la Sèvres, le calme d'un déjeuner en plein air, qualité des plats et du service, ballade au bord de l'eau et du moulin à ne pas manquer!!!!

our appetizers and desserts have unfortunately made a mistake to order the main course that was a little disappointing. the staff was friendly and the location was good as we could go to the river to enjoy our coffee. will be leaving.

Un accueil chaleureux, un repas raffiné, "fait maison", le tout au bord de l'eau, la cascade et le moulin "classé" tout proche.... Que rêver de mieux !!Une mention spéciale au panacotta lavande-abricot (saveur originale, fine et délicieuse) et au café bio.Une équipe jeune, dynamique et très investie qu'il faut encourager.Ce serait un crime de ne pas s'y arrêter si vous passez dans la région nantaise ! Retour à la Cascade pour une soirée entre amis (5). Très bon accueilPar contre, serveur ne connaissant pas la carte des apéritifs et bières...Oubli d'un verre pendant le repas. Viande à changer pour 2 convives car trop cuite et goût bizarre....Bon, geste commercial effectué au moment de l'additionPoisson noyé dans la sauce... dommage...Attention, période d'adaptation d'accord mais vigilance pour les prochains mois.

This restaurant is set by the beautiful river that winds through Clisson and you are seated in a small, wooded area in front of the Hotel building. It's idyllic. The food and service were also very good. My wife started with the tomato carpaccio and...me the foie gras. Both were very tasty. I followed with an excellent rabbit roulade on a bed of polenta with seed mustard. Delicious. My wife had the pork. The accompanying relish was an unusual pinkish colour, but also delicious. We were told it was a grain mustard with raisin juice. We accompanied the food with a glass of excellent Muscadet and Loire red. Very smooth and plummy. Highly recommended.

Marie-Reine, my host airbnb recommended this restaurant, as I fought with the time in the evening for later arrival. only on the river near clisson center either outside or in to eat, this little auberge is worth a try. the service is perfect (I. never new could I write this in france) and eating is fascinating. râble de lapin filled with fois gras coulis of strawberries and a few strawberries sitting on a bed of cut rohem fenchel, making her brain work. after the day's suggestion as a main course, a top-priorium of the chicken sitting on a moss of pickled and braided petersnip sit on a sauce of kakao among others. an absolute joy for sense. highly recommended. Marie-Reine, my Airbnb host recommended this restaurant as I was struggling with time in the evening due to late arrival. Just on the river near Clisson centre either outside or in for eating, this little auberge is worth a try. The service is perfect (I...never new I could write this in France) and the food is intriguing. Râble de lapin stuffed with fois gras coulis of strawberries and a couple of strawberries sitting on a bed of sliced raw fennel, makes your brain working. Followed by the day suggestion as main course, a supreme of chicken on a mush of parsnips and braised parsnip sitting on a sauce made of cocoa amongst other things. An absolute delight for senses. Highly recommend.

LA CASCADE s'était tarie il y a plusieurs années. Quel plaisir de retrouver ce restaurant ouvert au bord de l'eau : un équipe jeune et enthousiaste avec le désir de bien faire est là pour nous accueillir en ce juillet ensoleillé. La carte est courte mais suffisante pour avoir une bonne impression d'un déjeuner sans histoire. Le service avenant. Le vin au verre très honorable même si le RIESLING de Gorges reste une curiosité plutôt qu'un bon vin. Par contre le PINOT NOIR du Charitois vaut bien le MENNETOU SALON et SANCERRE rouge pas très éloignés. Mais on était venu pour manger et les recettes un peu courtes étaient du plus bel effet. Encore un effort et cette nouvelle équipe aura sa place da...
