"Paris traffic is legendary but this restaurant is worth the drive. It's a bit away from the city center in a neighborhood and has the feel of a local meeting and dining place. There were a couple of guys playing handball in a small inner courtyard when we arrived. The chef was out front talking with some friends. It was all very welcoming and laid back. We were a group of six and decided to eat on the main floor. Upstairs there is a buffet which we took a look at. It looked great but so did the price fixed menu of €42. I had the lobster bisque. Incredible and obviously a long slow cooked stock. Very rich and complex. A friend had the chilled watercress soup. Excellent. Next I had the foie gras confit. I was amazed at the large portion served and it was beyond decadent. Really some of the best I have ever had. Main courses were Brandade, Roast Pigeon. Roast Cod, Lamb Chops and one other I don't recall. We ordered everything. I had the cod which was perfectly prepared with a crispy skin and juicy flaky meat. We also ordered every dessert on the menu and all were fabulous. There wasn't one single negative comment from anyone in the group. The service was great. There isn't a lot of English spoken but just enough that we had no difficulty. Knowing just a little French can help identify the menu items."

In a nutshell...poor service and food that had zero lustre - no seasoning no salt in the food just very very bland! Is this a reflection of french cuising?? I hope not!

This is a great place with a gorgeous buffet (this is in the upstair room). We had great starters, several meat meals and wonderful desserts. All you can eat for €25. You won't regret it.

Went there for a business lunch based on Gooding review but it was so so. The pintade was pretty strange and vegetables not great at all. The fish lieu was correct but nothing special. For a fooding recommandation this was below expectation clearly

Great restaurant. The food is all Home made it is great!!!! The part we were in was self service and as much as you want. Beware do not leave food on the plate, take what you want BUT eat it all otherwise you will have to pay a fine!!!!!! The decoration is rustic that lends itself to a warm ambiance. The staff are welcoming and helpful. I fully recommend this restaurant.

Great idea to give the whole dish (in our case rillets) to served yourself! Also puree from topinambour were served on our wish. The restaurant is really big and the service efficient! I found it really cosy and the best was the number of old people who enjoyed their meal there. Nice to see a cantine style on one of the rooms (big table with the banches)Keep going like this! A bientot!

Nice little restaurant : actually it is a 2 in 1 place. On the ground floor you will find a smallish restaurant that can seat about 30 with a small black board menu and on the first floor it is a table d'hôte restaurant wiht long table and a buffet type offer. All the food is made on site and is delicious. The price is good for at 22.5 euro the 3 course menu on the table d'hôte.The only problem is the car parking spaces : there is none and road size parking is very difficult.

Nice, warm and cosy atmosphere located in a suburb out of the touristic places. It is really worth the effort.Nice service, good view into the kitchen and a great wines list: you can also get up and choose your wine from the shelves: great thing to do!A the must is the food: extra fresh products, enhanced by a simple cooking and sometimes a light sauce, not the usual gravy...The cheese board is appetizing and the desserts are just great! My guest took a baba au rhum and enjoyed it! I had a chocolate mousse and it was just divine. If you have time for a spirit, there is a wonderful selection of Armagnac and try the eau de vie de houx.

I had lunch here today. Since it was a holiday weekend in Paris for Ascension Day the restaurant wasn't too crowded and I found a parking space right in front of it.I sat downstairs and had a glass of champagne for €9 which came with a small amuse-bouche.I then had the menu de dégustation for €42 which I found to be good value. You have a choice of two soups then a choice of starters and main dishes, a portion of cheese and finally a choice of dessert. The food was very good and nicely presented. The service was fine too.I had a 75cl carafe of white Saumur wine for €17 which was also good value.I can definitely recommend this restaurant to people visiting this area.Helpful tip: the restaurant...

After months of works, the place offers now a new look, with still the same quality of food of course.A couple of tables outside in the patio offer the possibility to have drinks and finger food while enjoying the first sunny days at the end of the winter. We had a few poached scampi served with mayonnaise, then some home-made black pudding (excellent) and to finish, crayfish served with mashed potatoes.Decent size, but not too much, allowing you to enjoy a great cheese board, and/or beautiful desserts. The chocolate ganache is absolutely divine!Choice of different French wines from all regions, allowing you to discover some beautiful terroirs: Cote rotie, Corsica or Pic Saint Loup ...A very g...
