"I had the pleasure of visiting La Terraza Tapas Bar in Upton with my kids, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the tapas selection. The steak with chimichurri sauce was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more, and the Tempura prawns were simply delectable. As a first-time visitor, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience, and I can confidently say it won't be our last visit. While the prices leaned slightly towards the expensive side, the quality of the food and the cozy ambiance more than made up for it. La Terraza Tapas Bar strikes the perfect balance between a gourmet dining experience and a comfortable family outing. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is always an important factor for me when choosing a place to dine. All in all, La Terraza Tapas Bar offers a fantastic option for a memorable lunch with family or friends. "This is a beautiful spot for dining and drinks. We visited for Sunday roasts and were pleased by the great selection of dishes. There was plenty of delicious meat options, including beef, pork, nuts, and even turkey. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and they even treated us to a complimentary ice cream with our desserts. We also indulged in an incredible espresso martini that was a delightful treat. Highly recommended!"

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."

"This is our third visit for dinning and again service and food were excellent , this time we had the steak , I had good intentions just to have a burger ,but the fillet steak was probably some of the best I've had ,and cooked to perfection ,I had mine medium rare and the girlfriends was medium .No starter because I wanted to try a dessert , but was nearly full so we shared one and again it was lovely ."

"Welcomed by Jasmine on our arrival and promptly seated, despite the fact we were early! Jasmine and Kelly took very good care of us throughout, which was great because we had no idea what we were doing! Jasmine was able to advise on dishes and beverages which was really helpful. Food and drinks arrived promptly, and the food was perfectly cooked, looked fabulous and tasted delicious. Prices were reasonable and the menu has a good selection to suit most people. Highly recommended!"
