Went in for a quick drink with my friend as they have an outside area and it was a hot day. Can I just say that John one of the bar staff was a delight. So happy and welcoming. I’d go in again for a drink and maybe try the food

Me and my 8 year old daughter visited today hoping to grab a lunchtime carvery whilst in town. The pub was busy and we hadn't booked. At first it didn't look good for us to get seated, but the lady who greeted us was amazing....

We have just had an afternoon tea babyshower for my friend here and everything was perfect. We had the big room in the back to decorate but most tables were set out with crockery, teapots and table covers by the staff. Staff were so helpful... Speisekarte ansehen

Staff are fantastic, the environment is very friendly and open, food is lovely and everything is very reasonably priced. The location is also great only a small walk from the train station or bus stops. My only note is that it would be difficult...

Just had a fab meal at the bird, could not fault the food at all, we had a steak and partner had the pie, 2 much for me to eat. The social distance was really good you had enough space between tables and to move around. There are a choice of Real Ales to choose from as well Speisekarte ansehen

The food was too over cooked to eat when asked if everything was ok and we explained that it wasn’t and gave t reasons why to which the reply was “well that’s just the standard here”. -As if it’s ok to waste our own money. I paid £8.40 for a main I didn’t even eat with no apology or refund.

Had my daughter's babyshower here and it was fabulous. We were so looked after from the time of booking to the end of the babyshower. Nothing was too much trouble. They decorated for us and even gave us takeaway boxes for the left overs. As we had family up we went here for Sunday lunch and again it was faultless. Thank you Terry, Dee and staff.

We had a very nice lunch here. I had gammon which was delicious. The eggs were obviously free range, the yolks were dark orange. Chips crispy and dry. Friends were happy with their meals. Only criticism was my husbands steak and kidney pudding I am afraid this was dry but all in all we enjoyed our meals. We will definitely try again. We will try the Sunday carvery next.
