Very accommodating, happy to fit in a large Party with children at short notice. Good tasty pub food , service quick. Would return

Had superfood salad..appalling..very little other than a plate of kale for 15 quid. In fairness mum had scampi which she found ok. Staff friendly

Stopped in for a quick bit to eat. Delicious. Just right. Sat in the window overlooking the market square. Lovely setting and beautifully decorated. Food was tasty and can't fault the service.

With NO, Alcohol, wheat, coffee, nut,oil, lactose diet, food was dry and limited. Breakfast was poached eggs on GF bread, no porridge, fresh fruit, fruit teas to choose from.. if you wanted a full English then fine

Great service even better food! A lovely welcome from staff when you initially walk in. The place is like a tardis is much bigger than it looks. I ordered the Thai mussels partner the Harissa Lamb Burger. Excellent food. Best mussels I’ve had for a very very long time. Speisekarte ansehen

Just had lunch here. Worst pub meal we've ever had! Pie of the day, which incidentally was also yesterday's pie of the day! That should've been our first clue! Luke warm. Hard as nails, inside and out. Needed a saw to cut it open. Scampi equally inedible, cold, scrappy chips, cold mushy peas(one teaspoon of! Wet slimy scampi. £19 for pie .£18 for scampi. Reported to waitress that it was awful! Nervous giggle and then nothing! I think a full refund should be offered! Over to you Black Swan, Helmsley.

The room was clean and nicely decorated, staff were friendly. Location great and parking available. The food turned out to be very disappointing. Ordered a meat platter several items missing, poor quality meat, soggy puff pastry! The chips were old and seemed to have been recycled. Crab and avacado salad was tasteless and clearly out of a pre made plastic package! Terrine was not great either again straight out of a packet. At breakfast time there were too many people for the number of staff. No tea pots, no glasses, ran out of pastries. Such a pretty setting and a rather nice atmosphere but that's the best they have to offer. The staff seem like under pressure and unhappy. There was one young lady who seemed to care as did the manager but all things considered it was a poor service establishment when you have to go hunting for a member of staff to address problems with your order. The restaurant was fairly busy but our food was dropped and the waitress couldn't move on fast enough. Fact your paying a upper price for a drop and run service. A chicken supreme priced at £18 with overcooked peas, dried mash, which was sprinkled with spring onions as opposed to it running through and flavouring the pash. The pancetta was nowhere...
