"I Ordered a takeaway last night from Scott's plaice at 18.49pm the food never turned up till 9.10pm the 2 large chips I ordered were cold and hard and looked like all the old scrapings from the fryer left at the bottom the sausages were cold and the batter not even crispy. Very disappointed with the just eat service I received how can a delivery of 5 battered sausages and 3 large chips take over 2 hours. Not fair at all my kids were hungry and were just about to go to bed at that time not sitting and eating dinner. "Went for a family meal on Saturday evening. There were 2 other small tables dining. Menu was varied and the food was good although it was at the higher end of the price scale for £6.95 for starters and £5.95 for desert). Lamb, steak and goat curry £17 . The veg was overdone and soggy, in fact the roasted carrots were burnt. My daughter specifically asked for no beans and guess what? The service was such a let down considering. The water was put down on the other side of the table so someone had to get up and get it. The menus weren’t given out, just put in the middle so we had to sort ourselves. Had to ask for a wine list but were told there wasn’t one, she just told us 3 varieties of red. When she bought it to the table, again she put it in the middle, didn’t even undo it let alone pour any. The glasses not being used or the empties were not removed. Such a shame there was no attention to detail, which when I’m spending over £200 on a meal, I’d expect to be honest."

"What a gem of a place if your gluten free or not! I’m a coeliac and struggle to find one choice of cake let alone 15!!! I went for the banana loaf which was moist and full of flavour washed down with a beautifully presented pot of tea. My husband is not gluten free but enjoyed a cappuccino with his mini egg chocolate cake he knows that gluten free doesn’t have to taste like cardboard if it’s made well, which it obviously the case here! There’s sandwiches both toasted and not, and a selection of jacket potatoes. Dairy free spread and cheese are available too! The staff were very attentive, friendly and informative about allergens which is always reassuring. It’s small but big on atmosphere and good quality food."

"We chose the Penguin breakfast, and I had tea while my partner opted for coffee. We arrived right as they opened, and I'm thankful we did, as it quickly filled up. The breakfast was delightful and served in a timely manner. Each time we've visited, the restaurant has been bustling, which is always a positive indicator! We’ll definitely return, as the staff are fantastic, the service is quick, and the breakfast is consistently delicious!"

"First time I've used B&B's, and I've not been disappointed. I decided to swing by on my way to work, to have a Burrito for my lunch, at work (over in Portsmouth) The Burrito I had was the chicken fajita. It was RAMMED full of food, and well packed. It had been double wrapped too, ready for an extended journey! When I got to finally eat it 2 hours later it was still lovely and warm. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would definitely recommend this place. The property itself is very clean and tidy, with friendly and helpful staff. Great value and all ingredients are very clearly fresh. I'll be visiting again, and likely to make it a Friday lunch treat when this period of my shift comes around again!"
