Great food and service as always been going here about once a year for over 20 years go to Mexican, always tasty food and good value.

Fantastic Mexican, a hidden local gem! Only open a couple days a week but always worth the visit!! Great handmade food and a very good cocktail selection. An Edinburgh must!!

Food was amazing! Highly recommend. Very authentic cuisine! We got the chicken fajitas and margaritas. Chicken was amazing. Margaritas were strong. Chef knocked it out of the park. Service was also great!!!

Our second visit to the Blue Parrot since lockdown was lifted. Such a lovely little unpretentious restaurant with fab fresh Mexican food at very reasonable prices. Six of us enjoyed another very enjoyable evening.

This charming Mexican restaurant located in the center of Edinburgh is a must-visit. I have been here multiple times and always return for more! I highly recommend trying the piñata cocktail and the chicken and cashew chimichanga. Speisekarte ansehen

We have lived in Stockbridge for a few years but this was our first visit on the recommendation of a friend. We were not disappointed. Extremely fresh, authentic Mexican food (we used to live in California so have eaten a lot of good Mexican meals) and delicious margaritas. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were served by a quiet but charming young waiter. The vegetarian among our group particularly praised the vegetable burrito. Very good value we shall return soon!

The food is good, but we definitely won’t be back anytime soon because the chef/manager/proprietor (not sure of his role, but he was both running the place and cooking the food) kept cracking loud jokes that the way to avoid having to isolate with covid is simply to never take a test. ‘If you don’t take a test, you will never be positive’, he said. This attitude is very concerning in the context of a pandemic when one would like to think that the people preparing one’a food have been responsible about lateral flow testing and willing to isolate if they test positive. The attitude conveyed a stark lack of responsibility or awareness, enough to make me wonder about hygiene standards generally...

I had a starter, main course, and a few drinks/cocktails (which were decent) at this restaurant. The service was very good, the food was excellent and cooked fresh, and delivered nice and hot. However, the restaurant was freezing cold. It was a small place with only one very small oil-filled radiator trying to heat the whole room, but it was not doing a good job. When I asked if the heating could be turned up, the waiter went to check but never returned with an answer. We were sitting near the radiator and were asked to move it from under our table. The cold atmosphere is the reason why we will not be coming back. Comfortable surroundings are important to me, and unfortunately, this restaura... Speisekarte ansehen
