"this is a small and quirky delicacies and coffee shop at the opposite end of the high road to the Quay area of the “Honey Pot” that attracts most visitors, so is less busy than other caffes. there are well-removed seating, both inside and outside on the back. we had to ask how the service worked because it was not obvious, but once sorted it was clear, but a little slower, but workers were cheerful and friendly. we have learned how we and others were served with our order that the portion control was not seriously observed! Luckily, we had ordered for us a disc coffee and walnut cake to share, and this was more than sufficient for a half-morning coffee and cake break. besides the Deli items there are many different other items for sale displayed around the inner. a very pleasant holding place with good cake and coffee. I'd use this facility again."

No toilets in the café and 20 minutes for 2 lattes, despite only 6 people inside.

Didn't eat, as was told there was toilet facilities, quite shocked especially in this day and age. This totally put me off

This charming little cafe offers homemade food and cakes. Although slightly expensive and the service was not very friendly, the food quality was excellent.

With the very best service, coffee and tea. You won't find such a variety of teas anywhere else. Highly recommended. It reminds me of having tea at Westminster Abbey. The quality of service, food and drink is beyond what you pay for

we only found bridges at the end of our holiday, as it is located directly at the lower edge of the city, but it was really very pleased that we had gone down this far away to find it. we had quiche salat who was homemade and was really nice, helpful and nothing too much annoyed. we enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day before we left lymington will visit next year again.

I have had lunch several times at this incredibly welcoming café. The food is homemade and the staff are helpful and friendly. If they don't have something on the menu, they will make it for you. My son wanted a late breakfast and the owner went above and beyond to create a full breakfast for him using items from the current menu. She is a star. The café also sells interesting food items and other small decorations.

what a disappointing experience. I am sunk today to take away coffee, and on the theke was something packed eating, price on off. I turned it around and looked at the label and found it expired more than months ago! I said the dame at the theke that eating has expired for sale. she's been strapping on me. I answered that there are very strict laws forbidding the sale of expired food in Great Britain, not to mention many older people in this city that will not be well enough looking at the small date of by read. I have an acid star, and no other answer, so I think their strategy is to continue selling food from the date for older people at premium prices. By the way, the coffees that were not...

We visited yesterday for a light lunch for our family of four. At for a bacon sandwich with not even rashers of bacon and a few crumbled Doritos on the side I would say it was poor value. My sandwich of cheese (Pretty...tasteless) and coleslaw was bland and served again with a few Doritos for or possibly more, I can’t remember. Extra coleslaw as a side was pretty overpriced. My husband’s sausage roll was inches long, if you’ll excuse the reference, and was not hot through, at with nothing on the side. It was very average in taste. I think this is probably a great place for tea and cake as the cake looked super but the sandwiches are so overpriced. At that price I would expect a side salad an...

"My Wife and I don't travel so well these days but decided to go a little further afield from our usual Highcliffe and Christchurch haunts we live in Mudeford. We went twice in point of fact. The first visit was the 21st June when My wife and I had a quiet Birthday celebration lunch prior to the Family celebration later in the day. It was excellent. We only had the Mains and despite it being busy and not having booked we were served promptly and cheerfully with a round of drinks. My Wife had Chicken Pie and I had Liver and Bacon. Both were excellent and my Wifes vegetables were freshly done. I don't have vegetables. We liked it so much we went back three days later to celebrate our youngest Daughters birthday and again had lunch before the Family celebration later in the day. The meal was as fabulous as three days prior. My Wife had a Chicken Roast, our Daughter had Beef Roast and I had an amazingly well filled Steak and Merlot Pie of the Week. As before the vegetables were freshly done. Unusually for us we also had puddings (Lemon Meringue, Bailey's Cheescake and Apple Tart with Custard. All were excellent. All washed down with Tea and a Latte the former being served in nicely twee Teapots. Total cost £80 for the three of us on the second visit. Worth every penny. All in all First Class and couldn't fault it. Disabled parking nicely located in the front with ample parking for those more mobile at the side and back. Just a note for History buffs. The main building was built in 1853 by John Harrison(? a Carpenter thus the name Carpenters Arms."
