"If only the customer service was as good as the cakes. As soon as I walked through the door (literally the first step through it, before I even got to the counter to see what they had in) I hear “What can I get you?” I walked over to the counters to see what they had, only to be glared at impatiently until I made my purchase. The brownie was lovely but the rude assistant clearly didn’t want to be there. Not like there was even a queue, the place was empty (not surprising with customer service like that) won’t be going there again."

The best brownies. And they have so many extra brownie goodies. Like brownie bombs and Easter eggs filled with brownies. Been a fan of these brownies for years now.

I came all the way from london stopping by to see my friends and i had my eye on this place, the flavours and variety are crazy and i cant say i didnt like every single bite

Best brownies I had, especially the Bakewell cookie but also the chocolate orange. Beautiful presentation and perfect flavour and consistency. No pictures sorry cos I already ate them

Fabulous cookie dough,crunchie pie thing! It was flippin delicious and was huge, I cut into three pieces and they were all a good anount to have with a cup of tea, definitely going again.

Updating with pics. I have family in Derby and always try and steal a visit to here when I am around. Incredible value and and always a big selection. More people should know about this place, but then I am kinda glad that they don't!

Tried a brownie from here years ago and sadly moved away but came back and was so glad to still see this place up and running the brownies are amazing service is amazing I don’t go into town often but when I do I always like to pop in and grab a brownie

Great brownies and a deal available for a coffee and a brownie (can’t remember the price but it was less than £5). Best brownies in Derby and highly underrated. Would love to see them have an outdoor space one day in a more central location but the bakery here is lovely regardless.

Just had a cake from the stall at derby University... had it it 4/5 hours after purchasing... Absolutely the best I've had.. I cut through it and it was as fresh as I had just got it out the oven... deffo reccomend takes me back to my school days.. keep it up guys... see you again... (very shortly)

"Can not recommend enough !!!! Spent an evening at the dining room with some colleagues earlier this week and found the whole experience to be fab!! "The food chips tasted more like deep-fried roast potatoes, and not all the dips that were listed were provided. The pizza was enjoyable, but overall, the prices felt too high for the quality offered. Although we were warned about potential delays in service due to the comedy club, our drinks took an unusually long time to arrive and, unfortunately, were taken to the wrong table. We also ordered a round of shots for everyone, only to find that we were overcharged when we checked the receipt. We spoke to Sam on-site for assistance, but he was unhelpful and even suggested that we leave a negative review."

"It was great food. There was one stocky bald guy who was a really good waiter. He was working his socks off. Then other staff were not so good. Chatting with friends at the bar while our large party needed drinks. A couple of the kitchen staff wandering about with a poor attitude, looking like they didn't want to be there. Should be happy to work there. It's a brilliant pub and they have a nice atmosphere to work in. I have high standards when I go for a meal. It's a rare treat for people. I don't want to see staff acting like they're doing you a favour by being there. On a side note you can see food staff on their phones touching work surfaces when the kitchen doors open. I would say that's quite unhygienic for food preparation. If I see staff using phones etc who prepare food it makes me worry about hygiene. It's like when I went in McDonald's and saw staff constantly touching their face. I've not been back since. Was 5 years ago. I might be wrong they might be cleaning their hands straight after. Just telling you what I saw and how you might be able to do a bit better. Appreciate good staff are in short supply at the moment."

"Me and my friends all come here ever wednesday after school for a study session and a chit chat and grab a coffee! The atmosphere here is something so peaceful and comfortable with its great lighting, music and decorations really make it a special vibe. It’s very hygienic there’s not a spot of dirt insights- bathrooms are always clean. Aswell as it’s state of cleanliness, the smell is really nice with its light up candles. The staff are so sweet and polite and are amazing at their jobs at making us feel welcome! Aswell as that the food and drinks here on the menu are so good and are always top notch- always nice and fresh! I rate it 5/5 because i’ve been to other places before, that have never had such a good quality food and had a great experience! I come here because it’s a comfort place for me and my friends and we never doubt our choices coming here because it’s so great- one of the best places in Derby."

"Had a lovely time. Went with my boyfriend on Friday night, and had some of their cocktails (Happy hour! . The staff there were very nice and friendly and help kept cleaning our table. The female bartender kept up good conversation with me whilst I was ordering my drinks, One staff member (Jay kept coming back and making sure our empty glasses where taken away (thank you Jay! . They were all super friendly, a bearded member of staff kindly got my boyfriend some water (which was definitely needed! . So thanks to all of the staff members who made our night so enjoyable!"
