"Excellent choice! Delicious pasta! Delicious steak! Fresh potatoes(not frozen) which is rarely seen lately. We came here to dine for four days out of the seven we spent in Salerno. We tried Gnochi alla Sorentina, Lasagna Bolognese, Carbonarra, Beef steak, Tiramisu. All were delicious! All the ingredients were perfectly ballanced in every dish! We asked the steak to be well done and so it was, but it was still juicy and really tasty! Really nice service, attentive and friendly staff, pleasant atmosfere and friendly prices! The restaurant also offers gluten free options! A really good choice, from our taste buds 's point of view! Just take notice that the restaurant 's name changed during our stay from Gli Impastati to Il Conte Andrea !"

"bella posizione, servizio rapido e amichevole, menu interessante e ben studiato da antipasti a pizze. gustose e morbide pizze, buon pesce fritto e oca dolce. prezzi più che semplici: in abbiamo preso una pizza a testa, un fritto di pesce da dividere, una porzione di zeppolina di alghe, due dolci, una bottiglia di vino e due di acqua che spendono euro per testa. consigliato!"

"This is hands down the best meal we've had, including Naples and Rome's Michelin starred restaurants. Some dishes have left us with unforgettable memories such as the guinea fowl, the pumpkin, the orzo's mushrooms, or the octopus. The atmosphere is great as is the service. Everything was tasteful, down to the careful selection of cheeses with subtle differences. One of the top dining experiences in Italy."

"Amazing staff that greets you with a complimentary glass of prosecco. They make sure throughout the evening you are comfortable and have everything you need. Nice place for a romantic dinner. Food was delicious, fresh and portions big enough to be satisfied. Great selection of seafood meals. After the appetiser they brought additional warm bread. We were too full to order the dessert. For some reason, we received a small pastry at the end anyway, on the house. Nice touch! When paying for the bill, they didn't have coins so I was given more change than I was supposed to. I gave it back as a tip. Normally I don't give tips but this service definitely deserved it. I'll be coming back before leaving Salerno."

"The restaurant felt very intimate for my partner and I as it’s tucked within an alleyway. The first time we went he had spaghetti with clams and I had the special which was a pistachio mussel and pecorino based pasta dish. That pasta was the best meal we had in the entire two weeks we spent throughout Italy ranging from positano, capri, Amalfi, Rome and Venice. It was so delicious we had to return twice on our last night in Salerno. My family is from Salerno and you could feel the hospitality and friendliness. I’m shocked by other reviews which state otherwise and think maybe it had more to do with the reviewer than this restaurant. On our last visit I asked the waitress how the meal was cooked because it is so delicious and I am a Seattle based chef who would love to recreate it. She then asked the kitchen whose chef invited me back to view how the meal was prepared. It was such a special treat and a highlight from our trip to Italy and I am eternally grateful for the staff and chef at this Osteria. Gracie Millie!"
