"I went to Byron with 4 of my work colleagues on their 25p burger special opening offer day. The queue was down the street as you would imagine, but it moved quickly and we were in and seated in no time. We were in one of the big booth seats by the window (which are perfect for people watching) The staff were friendly and super knowledgeable which was great as I ask a lot of questions. So I'm vegetarian and am so pleased that here they have separate fryers for their chips and courgette chips than their meat products (I'm amazed at how this still happens elsewhere) They were also clued up with veggie friendly cheeses and don't use Parmesan in their veggie dishes (it's not veggie) The open kitchen is a nice touch, I like seeing how the kitchen works. My Portobello mushroom burger with goats cheese, red peppers and spinach was super tasty, as we're the courgette chips. I very much enjoyed my lunch and would come back here again. I find it a little strange when you buy your burger then the chips are extra, I'd rather it was standard and you upgraded to sweet potato chips or courgette chips if you wanted to. Nice industrial decor. Worth a visit"

Fun burger joint! Walked by and had to go inside. Ordered The Cheese which was juicy and delicious! My only complaint is that it is quite overpriced for what it is.

We had a quick dinner with a group of five. The choices are primarily burgers, including beef, chicken and meat substitute. Casual ambiance. The food was fine, perhaps a bit salty.

This was a fantastic restaurant, The food was phenomenal. Burgers were so flavorful and me and my family ate every last bit. I recommend this restaurant if your looking for a filling and delectable meal for families.

Americans in Edinburgh eating at a burger joint seemed odd to me, but our daughter said that we must try this place and it was great! Burgers were juicy and very tasty but the hard milkshakes were next level, I had the Makers Mark shake and it was incredibly good!

Exactly what it says on the tin, proper burgers! They're yummy and tasty, they're big and filling they're everything you want from a proper burger and they are not cheap but you definitely get your money's worth. They only negative I have to say is it's cold in this restaurant and there were no desserts available but

We were in a bit of a rush but wanted something solid before we flew out from Edinburgh. This place fit the bill. It had decent if unspectacular hamburgers and average fries. But the kids enjoyed it. Overall, it's hard to get excited about a place like this. It serves a function: to fix your burger craving. It solves that. But it doesn't do more than that.

I would say more like 3.5, but I will round up. I wanted to try the iconic American burger done proper in Scotland. The burger, due to regulations, has to be cooked well done. It was, and not dry. My only complaint: their Byron cheese almost had a Velveeta-ish type texture. The fries (Not chips! tasted fresh, and I am loving my Oreo shake. My buddy is enjoying his whiskey milkshake concoction. Delicious taste of home when 7000 miles away...

All of a sudden Edinburgh has two branches of this chain. As if the city wasn't already on the burger map. What they've done with these premises is very good (swiveled the kitchen round to gain a lot more seating space) but should you really be noticing that if the overall experience is any good? Menu-wise other similar outlets in the city have more to offer so, whilst I've no quibbles about the quality of the product on offer, I don't see myself venturing back.

Byron was the only place that was still serving food when we needed dinner around 21:00 on a weekday in Edinburgh (they serve food until 22:00). We were so grateful they were still open! The mac and cheese balls were really good but they did NOT need to be drenched in the buffalo/cheese sauce. They get a bit soggy if you don't eat them right away...It would be better if the sauce was on the side and they weren't swimming in them. I got a salad which sounds basic, I know, but it was surprisingly delicious. Broccolini, edamame, cranberries, avocado, and mixed greens. Walnuts would've been good too but they were not included. The dressing was light and tangy (got it on the side). My boyfriend g...

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
