"Set up an order to pick up at a certain time. Went to restaurant at exact time. Got told that order was meant to be picked up 40 minutes earlier. Had a call from Siam 30 minutes later than the time that they thought order should have been picked up. No care from management at Siam, it was a “computer says” moment. Food left on hot plate for 40 minutes. Food greasy, tasteless, over spiced. A poor and disgusting example of what the hospitality industry should be. The manager should have a review on how he deals with customers. I wouldn’t go back and would not recommend this place at all."

"We just returned from our first visit to The Rock during the 5th day of our annual family holiday in North Devon. We were unsure if we wished we had discovered this beautiful place earlier or if we were glad we hadn't because we would have spent a fortune wanting to visit every day! We had an amazing meal with our 8-year-old son, who enjoyed the excellent service. As someone who is conscious about fitness and health, I am always meticulous about the meals I eat, but I treat myself when eating out. This was by far the best dining experience I've had in a long time. We started with the veggie deli board, which was delicious and could have been a meal in itself for two people. I ordered the Thai crab cakes as a starter but the staff were very accommodating and made it a main course with extra salad and some delicious chunky chips. My husband had the Thai green sweet curry and our son had a burger with cheese from the children's menu. For dessert, I had pancakes, my husband had sticky toffee pudding, and our son had a warm chocolate brownie. We were so satisfied with our meal that we indulged in coffee and truffles afterwards. I cannot recommend this place enough for its amazing food and service. We will definitely be back next year, and maybe even earlier if we can squeeze in another visit before we leave for home on Saturday!"

"Charming little spot! We arrived for our reservation and were seated in just two minutes. There were no outdoor tables available at first, but the server assured us she would find us one as soon as possible. Five minutes later, she delivered a table, and we were able to soak up the sun and enjoy the beautiful views. The service was excellent, and the food was incredible. We dined out for five days, and this place was by far the best! Thank you!"

The service is relaxed yet attentive and professional. and the food? well what can I say, just back from enjoying one of their legendary Sunday lunches and as always it exceeded expectations. "on Thursday late visited. had not booked in advance, in which did they do not book for small parties. we waited for the waiting queue to dissipate across the street - this place is popular among tourists and locals alike - with a few ales outside sq. I would also recommend this place. very hospitable service on both locations. I was glad about the unbroken fish options they had, my choice was a seafood mix with some sorts of fish and garnel and cran. Thermidor sauce, the chips (just the correct amount for me, so no overload) and the fish were all of the excellent standard that I expected to visit after over 30 years. there are now several places to eat from one night in brown tone, I am pleased to report that squires is still a top choice."
