"My husband eats raw food and cheese and his salad could of been more substantial. I did say to the waitress we are happy to pay more for a super salad and she kindly said, the salad is considered a main meal, would you like to see what it is like first? We did this, but the heart of the gem lettuce was missing. My meal the salmon with spinach was very good. Our friends had risotto and said it was very good . We spend £130.00 and have the waitress and very generous tip as she worked hard for it."

Had a perfectly good pre-theatre meal there. We informed them of our time constraints on arrival and they ensured that we received all our food quickly and efficiently. Perfectly nice food.

This remains a more traditional looking Cafe Rouge which we prefer. The restaurant has many small areas as well as a garden area in summer so can use for groups if needed. Service from the staff was friendly and efficient.

The ambiance is beautiful, very relaxed, and beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, really delicious with good portion sizes, well-cooked, and reasonably priced. I am very happy overall, thank you very much.

a TERRIBLE experience for Mother's Day. it took an hour to get drinks, about the same to get the most important courses that arrived in dribs and drabs. was the Mother's Day and we had three mothers in our group so disappointing. vague and not attentive service that was strange when the restaurant was almost empty, also they were all gone. we hated it.

The food and service at the restaurant were satisfactory, but the only issue was with the gin and tonic that was ordered. When I tasted it, it seemed to be mixed with soda water instead of tonic water. I asked the waiter about it and was informed that it was their own "tonikum" recipe. If this was the case, they should consider using standard tonic water instead to ensure customers receive what they expect.

A very traditional Cafe Rouge. Spacious and very friendly and helpful service. Unfortunately being Mother's Day, they were overrun as the meal went on, delays took place. I could hear lots of complaints from neighbouring tables but the waiter was literally run off his feet. He was suitably apologetic. The french onion soup was a treat but the medium rare steak was definitely over-cooked which was disappointing. Child-friendly a place you can waste a few hours happily I would go again
