Despite having such a long wait, we enjoyed our scone and cake. The surroundings to the cafe are amazing and worth a visit to see the tiled walls.

I think it would be good if snacks and sandwiches are available instead of mealtime and salads so easier to eat food plus less expensive more croissants and baked please!

I have never paid so much for a sausage roll with a bit of salad. £12.50 for a cold and very tough sausage roll but at least the salad was fresh. My tip would be to have a snack' and a drink and then have...a meal when you leave.

Firstly the place is worth a visit for the decor...the original Victorian tiled walls and stained glass windows are superb. The food was fine I was there for lunch on a Sunday and the beef was OK, if rather institutional. One of my friends...had the vegan shepherds pie which they said was excellent

Every time I visit the museum, I also stop for tea and perhaps a snack. I love the ambience and atmosphere of this place. However, i would have enjoyed it more if food was better described for contents of allergents. Please do not forget to...include offering for sick customers who are caeliacs, lactose intolerant, etc. Food is nice enough but perhaps adding couple of gourmet type dishes for food lovers could improve the overall experience to match gorgeous surrounding.

Absolutely delighted with the V&A museum, but the reviews for the cafe were not great so expectations were fairly low as we did not want to search the area for somewhere better. In fairness, our lunch was ok and following the advice of a very...friend waitress at the till, no queue for cold drinks, then straight to hot food where there were 2 in the queue and then to the till. All in all, around 5 mins to get lunch and pay for it. Had we wanted hot drinks or cakes, expect 20 mins just for drinks Speisekarte ansehen
