I came across this restaurant by chance, but it was a good choice. Service friendly and quick, prices also reasonable and food was worth it. We had pasta and I haven´t eaten better. Fantastic local cuisine. We don´t speak italian so we were lucky we picked well. Maybe this could be changed and translated into english.

I’m concerned that reviews are several years old and want to assure readers that La Cantina del Bivio is still an excellent choice for genuine Piemonte cuisine at a fair price. The menu changes a bit with the seasons: flan made with cauliflower last month is now made with pumpkin, and the sauce for the tajarin pasta may have different ingredients, but that only gives you another reason to keep returning. Desserts are also delicious, and they offer a fine selectioon of local wines. This is a family-owned restaurant, staffed well, managed with pride, and beautifully maintained. It’s true there is no panorama, but that only helps keep your focus on the food.

Around 1.00 p.m. we were getting really hungry so we stopped at this Osteria on the outskirts of Canale, from the outside it didn't look very inviting, we walked in and surprise, the place was packed, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table but it was worth the wait. Locals were having their lunch there and the place was immaculate. White tablecloths and napkins, no plastic tablecloth or paper sets that seem to be everywhere today. Our waiter was fantastic, a kind and warm person. We had the vitello tonnato, the meat was so tender and the sauce just melted in your mouth. As a second we had the veal in the Arneis sauce (a lot of Arneis) delicious, cauliflower and carrots. A good bottle of Barbe... Speisekarte ansehen
