Situated in a historic building a little away from the city centre, this restaurant impresses with its very special atmosphere and character. The very good food offer is extensive and convinces by its quality and variety; the prices are surprisingly limited for Milanese standard, the staff friendly and rapid. Reliably excellent meat dishes. (Watch out for cooking time as they like to serve RARE but will take back for an extra minute or 2 if you want! atmosphere is romantic/ open and airy. Outdoor dining under grapevines in warm months. On the beautiful Martesana canal that’s great for strolling. I love going here with groups or in 2 or even alone—where you never feel to be! Well managed by “Matteo” who is friendly and effective and a charming sommelier named David who is helpful and has a great sense of humor. They accept huge parties with ease too—I have organized parties there. It’s always a treat eating here—only vegetarians turn up their noses;
