Chang Thai - Speisekarte

We had a wonderful Thai meal! The food was fresh and delicious, and all five of us thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. The service was quick and efficient, and I even took home a doggy bag for the next day!

another excellent meal here tonight crispy beef is beautiful, the sweet and acidic sea bass was delicious. I would highly recommend this place (there would be more pictures, but I could not wait to eat the food)

The venue is nice, the staff were very accomodating and asked straight away if we were vegan/vegetarian. The food was really good and the portions were pretty big! Convieniently placed in the town and was really good value for money. Would definitely recommend the Massaman curry.

The owner assured me that 30% of his customers were vegan, so I asked if he could make a vegan pad thai. Of course he said. I checked it was all vegan with him when I collected it, he was quite rude, interrupt me and again he said many vegan customers. I have it home and there was egg in it was very careful when you are vegan.

After dining in pubs, this restaurant was a delightful change. I absolutely love Asian cuisine, and the fresh and crispy flavors here were fantastic. I appreciated the use of mushroom sauce instead of oyster sauce in some dishes. There was a lot to choose from, and the staff were very friendly. The tofu satay was perfect. I would definitely make the two-hour trip back here after a hike! They do serve meat, but it's still a restaurant worth checking out.

Top marks for following the Track and Trace guidelines and social distancing norms. Great! You're doing a service to the nation. Now coming to food It was OK. I'm obviously coming from high standards after dining Thai food at Jasmine chain of restaurants in Tokyo, and Bangkok Lounge in London, so with respect to that, I think this lacked authenticity. The flavour of lemongrass needs to be pretty visible (metaphorically) through the food. The Green curry could have done with more coconut milk and you need to use Jasmine rice for white rice. The fish was awesome, it was sweet, tangy and sour. It could have done with more garnishing. Presentation was pretty simple.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Initially, we didn't realize we could dine in, so we intended to order takeout. However, the person who greeted us was very friendly and assisted us in choosing vegan options. The wait time was just 15 minutes, and the food was still warm after a 20-minute drive back to our place. The dishes were absolutely delicious, especially the Massaman and Panang curries, which we were really pleased with. It was great value for the money. The only downside was that we found a star anise or something similar at the bottom of one dish. We also should have ordered an extra rice, as three saucy dishes felt like they needed more carbs to balance them out.

Chang Thai Cuisine is in the old Cognac pub building. They have refurbished it very nicely and not over the top Thai style. We were one of the first in for the evening but there was a certain amount of confusion over what we had ordered, an extra coke that we ended up paying for. Our starters of veg spring rolls and fish cakes were very good and presented well. The mains became very confused, wrong rice quickly corrected but ended up with 3 mains, 1 of which was definitely correct but not sure which of the other 2 we should really have had! Despite all this the food itself was very good. We had missed one vital point. You can only pay cash! Really not good enough. Luckily we could still pay....

Out of all the restaurants myself my partner visit, this beautiful, little restaurant is by far our favourite and the one we frequent the most. Not once have we ever left there disappointed or not quite satisfied by the food. Whenever we visit I can't help but try the Thai curries, but on our last visit we decided to try their Chinese dishes for a change. For our mains we had the chicken szechuan, chicken chow mein, and the sizzling beef it was quite simply delicious! The real winner though was the banana fritters and coconut ice cream that we had for our desserts I won't go on to tell you how incredibly good they were, just try them for yourself if ever you visit! You will not be disappoint...
