"We rang repeatedly and they hung up then when I went in person they didn't answer the phone the mins I was waiting. The Chapati Cafe' app doesn't work so order via Deliveroo or Uber Eats as you may have more luck getting what...you want if you order online. Saturday's menu' wasn't available for veggie so it was a lucky dip of three things for the thali two of which tasted the same, cauliflower and peas or potato and peas. The vegetable dal was a thin soup with nothing in it and like no other dal I've had before, I left it. Since it was only and they serve until I'd have expected they would still be making the full range of veggie dishes, but alas no. My meat eating partner seemed happy enough with the meat options so I'll give them one more chance online and see if they can fulfil my order. The chapati were fine."

A lovely little cafe with great food. Thalis and home made chapatis. Really good value. Slow service the only issue.

I love this place, it's cheap, quick, you can eat in or take away and they only put fries in their chip fryer so also safe for vegans x Speisekarte ansehen

I love the food, but it's frustrating that I usually have to call multiple times before anyone answers the phone. This evening I've tried times. Who knows if I'll be eating or not?

We went for the veggie meal for 4 which included 4 curries, papadoms, 2 rice, 4 chapatis, samosas and chips. All for £50. Portion size on the very large side. They changed the samosas for onion bhajis to make it all vegan with no issues. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Speisekarte ansehen

we ordered about eating. they sent us cold food. but the real problem was the chicken cure with the stone cold raw potatoes in it. when I asked the person who answered the phone to ask the cook to taste other boiled back immediately, “It is cooked” without trying. When I wanted to talk to the manager, they gave me the phone and refused to answer. the first and last time here. we have not trusted the rest of the meal

I have been here regularly for several years, it is a regular dinner in the middle of the week. All I can say is it is absolutely amazing price-performance ratio. my daughter is a naughty esserin, but she loves it here, she does not cure, but they have other things for young children. it is not a regular curry house, it is a rice and three places and what there are changes throughout the week. they just added outside seats. much healthier and even cheaper than taking, this is a really hidden gem for a quick lunch or dinner.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
