Pricing - reasonable. Atmosphere - casual, but great for a meet up with friends or dinner date.

The proprietor was friendly and accomodating to 2 people who couldnt speak any french. We had a lovely simple evening meal that satisfied. It is a small restaurant but cosy.

Wir sind spontan dorthin gegangen. Die Küche hatte eigentlich schon geschlossen, aber für 3 croques monsieur hat es gereicht. Das Personal und die Besitzerin waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war okay. Sehr faire Preise. Speisekarte ansehen

We are here last night after reading the reviews. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and had great service all evening. Great choice of wines and drinks arrived with nibbles whilst we looked at the menu. I had the chicken curry, my husband the salmon, then we shared the cheese selection....all was delicious.....we are going back tomorrow.

We found this place totally by accident-just wandered in out of the rain, so to speak, and Barbara warmly welcomed us in. She patiently described the menu to us in English, cheerfully waited on us, and kept us happy and full. The food was AMAZING-filling and tasty, and she was a joy to get acquainted with. We feel lucky we wandered into this restaurant!

Had a nice dinner at this small restaurant. Our family had Carpaccio, chicken curry, Carbonara and salmon. Also great creme brûlée to finish. The service was very good - even when she was dealing with some really rude and grumpy customers next to us! They appear to cook everything fresh, as they were out of a few things on the menu when we arrived, even though we were fairly early for dinner. Had English menus which was a bonus too!! Wir haben das Chez Barbara wegen der guten Kritiken besucht und waren schon erstaunt über das Ambiente, das eher an ein Schnellrestaurant erinnert ( Tische abwaschbar, keine Tischdecke, keine Dekoration). Die Bedienung war wirklich reizend und zuvorkommend, aber das Essen : die Zwiebelsuppe fad, der Fisch kalt und das empfohlene Dessert (ähnelt unseren armen Rittern) nicht wirklich lecker. Vielleicht war ja statt eines Kochs an diesem Abend eine Aushilfe tätig ?! Dafür waren die Preise deutlich zu hoch. Ich würde nicht wieder hier essen !!

Parmi les bons points:la proximité des hôtels, l'amplitude de service du chaud, la grande gentillesse et l'attention portée au client par notre hôtesse, le cadre et l'ambiance des lieux.Avec un plus pour la personnalisation dans l'assiette : tartare poêlé à ma demande et légumes préparés à la dernière minute en remplacement des frites. Parmi les points à travailler pour que cette adresse soit une vrai bonne adresse et non une adresse pratique :la réactivité en cuisine, l'attente est trop longue...Et améliorer la qualité de ce qui est servi: la salade baignait dans la sauce et était donc carrément cuite et le crumble maison du jour : il faut changer de recette.

I found myself on my own in Paris last month (July 2017) so I was looking for somewhere I would feel comfortable eating solo.I wandered in to Chez Barbara specifically because it was quiet and because I liked the stylish red and black decor.What a find. Host Barbara was so very welcoming and friendly. There was a reasonably extensive menu. On my first visit I had steak and chips and the steak was a lovely piece of meat cooked to my exact specification. The chips were excellent too. I liked it so much I went back the following night! The salmon was as good as the steak.I thought it was very good value for the meals I had.I will definitely be going there on my next trip to Paris! Speisekarte ansehen
