Have had many a breakfast here. Best to sit outside in the summer months and watch the people go by. Plain food with little flare but reasonable value

This is a good place to have lunch,food was basic but tasty and the price was reasonable,this is also a bar which serves nice cold drinks at good prices

Great place to have a snack and a drink. This cafe is right in the mix of things and it's great to just sit back and watch the World go by, the staff are friendly and get to know you after a few visits . I love going there on market days.

We were staying in Carcasssonne and chez Felix is one of the cafes that have tables and chairs on Place Carnot under the Plane Trees. It appeals because inside it has cosy bench seats, traditional French decor and waiters that are sometimes friendly to tourists and sometimes not so.They must surely get tired of tourists....Service is fast, vegetarian dishes not so many other than the ubiquitous French omelettes and French fries are appalling. Still the atmosphere is wonderful.

We always have coffee here whenever we're visiting the Saturday open market in Carcassonne. It wasn't as crowded as usual, but we understand that's got something to do with the lack of tourists in general, and nothing to do with the cafe/bar itself. Coffee is very good here, and service is excellent. And you can bring your own pastries, which we usually get from a stall in the market (simply divine croissants!). It's great to watch the locals doing their shopping from an outside table here!

The cafe is in the classic brasserie style, has been the same for decades and is therefore atmospheric and quintessentially French - which is why we visited again this summer after a 6 year break. But what a disaster! We were served the worst omelette I've ever had in France along with cold soggy chips and a tasteless salad. The omelette was just a couple of eggs and a slice of industrial cheese flat as a pancake and utterly tasteless. As we walked around the Place Carnot at other diners' lunches every single one looked a million times better than what the Chez Felix served up. So choose anywhere else if you want a tasty meal in Carcassone!
