Peppone - Speisekarte

Décevant à plus d'un titre: les pizzas sont moyennes ,celles du menu limites cartonnées (du surgelé sans doute) le service n'est pas souriant... Ni agréable. Le seul point positif: la terrasse.

Saturday night. you know it has to do. then they're still waiting. and the server that took its name does not seem to be in synch. with tabs available. the waiting queue to pay for the holiday is an extension. finally a table. two large beer pizza ordered. both tasty, fast arriving. atmosphere busy buzzy. back into the evening air. Happy to get a window seat and relax. Soon after the place quickly filled up with a lively, variable crowd. After deciding on veal, you are invited to go to the cellar for a wine selection. Huge variety and fair prices. Tap water was...provided without cost or request! The food was good, not great, but there are no green sides like spinach. The desserts were large and good quality. All in all, an enjoyable evening.

It was an extremely wet evening, and Pepponi was just around the corner from our hotel, so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. It looks small and crowded from the outside, but there is an upstairs area to accommodate customers. There is a large range of pizzas, many of which are vegetarian. The Quatra Fromage was excellent. The wines are all Italian, in keeping with the character of the place, so no Bordeaux wines. However, we really enjoyed the house red wine. Service is prompt and efficient. We would certainly recommend this place.

We came as friends for lunch on a Sunday. I had already come to this restaurant several times, already enjoying the same name in the rock and Nantes. These are the best pizzas by their composition, the choice of ingredients imported from Italy, we feast for no more expensive than in another pizzeria. The atypical decoration is very nice with touches of humour in the second degree in quotations/dictons...The tiramisu as the home benefits are to fall...Peppone being the victim of his success arming himself with patience for waiting but you will not be disappointed. chez peppone was about a block from our hotel and in the first night we passed it, the restaurant had a line waiting for a table stretching down the block. they do not take any reservations so that they wait in the line, usually outside the restaurant....Not fun in the rain. many local foods here and the waiter seemed to recognize many. so native repeat visit is a good sign. pizza was very good and the saltimboca was wonderful. they had peroni on tap and a good wine selection. bordeaux is a tourist city and therefore there is a lot of tourist restaurants that separate very mediocre food with insufficient servers. that is not the case with chez peppone.

We had been touring Bordeaux and the wine country for four days now, eating wonderful French Food. We needed a break from that, and Peppone was perfect. Be warned, this restaurant is crowded all the time, which is a good sign. We happened to decide...to go to dinner early so were able to slip in to the last outdoor tables. As a counter to all of the butter heavy French food, I, my wife and the other couple went pasta and pizza. The Pizzas were a simple tomato and rocket, and an anchovy. The spaghetti orders were a standard marinara and one with sausage and vegetables. We also ordered house salads to start. Be warned, one salad easily feeds two people. we enjoyed our dinner at chez peppone very much. it was a short walk from the hotel and we have tied something local for our last night in bordeaux. the atmosphere was great and the waiters and waiters were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. we. had a table outside, but it was absolutely packed, but they offered us a table on their balcony, which turned out to be better and more romantic than a busy table below. we ordered a laundry board to start, which offers generous amounts of cold meat and bread. the menu is extensive, with many things to do in the offer. my friend and I both went for a pasta court. they were fresh and tasty, but the portions were just too big.
