"I first reviewed this restaurant 9 months ago, but after having visited more than a dozen times since then, I have to upgrade my rating from 4 to 5. My husband and I don't live in Bern, but rather 30 minutes away. We enjoy this place so much that we make it a point to come here a couple of times a month. It's our go-to place when we don't feel like cooking or want a night out (paired with a movie at Pathe Westside or a stroll through Bern). Thus, I would consider us "regulars" at this restaurant and the owners and staff definitely make us feel like it (knowing us by name already). We always make reservations on their website, even if it's an hour before. On a couple of occasions, it didn't work so we called and made the reservation via phone. During warm weather months, they have covered outdoor seating, so reservations are not absolutely necessary, but recommended (especially if you want to eat outside - and you should inform them when you make a reservation). However, we never sit outside because it's right off a busy road (car noise) and I also don't care for the smoking, but during summer the outdoor seating full while indoors is more intimate (but can get warm). During the cold months, due to less seating, I would highly suggest a reservation on Fridays and weekends. The food is fantastic and the service is great, too. The staff are from China and seem to be doing an "Ausbildung" (training/education) there. They are learning German and most speak decent English. The food always comes out fast and piping hot. Expect to be eating within 10 minutes (max 15) of ordering, even when they are busy. We have tried many things on their menu and we enjoyed everything - sweet and sour chicken, szechuan beef, beef in orange sauce, kung pao chicken, the eggplant in a brown sauce (forget the name, but at on their menu of top 10 ordered dishes), general tsao's chicken, etc. One of our favorites that's not on their top 10 ordered list is the Beijing beef. As for their authenticity, it's definitely in the right direction. There are ALWAYS Chinese customers there. On three occasions during the summer, we have been there when a bus of Chinese tourists were there. I think that also speaks for their level of authenticity. Give this place a try. You won't regret it! PS: For those not accustomed to family-style eating, which is the norm in China, try it. Sharing main courses is always better because it lets you try different things."

We try most of our favorite dishes. We like the taste most of the time. Very Authentic style. I always recommend to friends. Price is reasonable with the quantity provided. Surely we will come back all the time. They have also lunch buffet which is also good to try. The sweet sour dishes is the best in town.

My husband and I find this restaurant from trip advisor, it is a great place to have hot pot( not as spicy as the one in China+Germany once we had)it's very tasty and other dishes are quite delicious as well.As I come from China I can tell that this restaurant is very similar to the original Chinese restaurants in China(lot of Chinese restaurants in Europe had changed a lot based on the local people's taste in dishes) the price for hot pot is a good value and we are so full after the nice hot pot, the place is nicely decorated also the friendly staff there give you a kind of home feeling,we like to go there whenever we miss our Chinese food. My DH and I loved this place. We chose this place because of all the good TripAdvisor reviews. The building is clean and well-cared for. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The food is delicious, as well as beautifully presented. The price is moderate, although we spent more than we needed to. For four of us, we ordered eight spring rolls - four would have been plenty. My husband and I enjoyed dinner here on a Saturday evening. The place was well occupied, but not overly full and it would have been possible to get a spot without a reservation. However, I would recommend making a reservation because it appears you get seated in the nicer part of the restaurant. We made the reservation on their website about 4 hours before going and it worked perfectly. I would consider this restaurant to be rather authentic and, yes, we have been to China before so we have a decent baseline to compare against.
