Quirky sea front pub, great menu, good choice of drinks, friendly staff dog friendly Portions huge, needed a doggy bag

8 meals, all amazing. Quirky restaurant, dog friendly. Manager read the room well, and all the staff we brilliant. Can’t fault it.

We made an impromptu visit here with friends for a evening meal. The staff were keen to accommodate us, even without a booking. The food was delicious and served promptly. The chorizo in cider was a great starter. The burgers were plentiful and worth the money. We will be back! Speisekarte ansehen

We had a delicious meal here while on holiday in Lyme Regis. One pie, one Caesar salad, one ham, egg and chips and one paneer and chickpea curry can recommend all! There were also delicious local fish options. Staff are really friendly and helpful, service was good. Would definitely recommend!!

Our dinner was simply delicious! Perfectly friend breaded scampi and a rich chowder. I had the fruity cider to drink and it was smooth. We had reservations and just as well, as the restaurant was PACKED. Even so, our service was so good that my husbanc left an extra bit of tip. Also, there are quirky objects for sale thoughout, very fun.

We had the steak and ale pie and scampi. Both were lovely, very tasty pie with, gravy and the chips were great. The best for us was the fact they serve a big dish of nicely flavoured vegetables/greens! Often hard to eat a balanced diet when dining out but not here. We had chorizo cooked in cider and thyme to start which was very nice. Then we ate chicken gyros which was marinated chicken, chillis, olives and peppers in a gluten free wrap along with very crispy chips, coleslaw and tzatziki. A lot of food! Very tasty and well presented on boards. Our table overlooked the cobb and the boats. Staff were pleasant and it was very busy.

The Cobb Arms looks like your average pub/restaurant, but step inside to find lots of quirky decorations and fantastic staff, and brilliant food and dog friendly, can’t ask for anything else This was our favourite place to eat during our 2 week’s holiday Really good menu but the stand out meals were the Catch of the Day, The Bass fish was the best meal I’ve had in a long time, can’t wait for next year

Greet by a lovely young man who offered us a seat in the restaurant area, as we said we would be eating. We chose the fresh fish platter for 2 Wow we were not disappointed, the freshest crevettes, crab, smoked salmon, cockles and brown shrimp, with all the accompaniments! Lovely chips and crusty bread, fresh salad and homemade mayonnaise. It was some of the best food I had eaten for a long time! Thank you! We are evening thinking of going back tomorrow as so good!
