"I'd heard great reviews of its homemade cakes and it did not disappoint : Although we went for the cake, we couldn't resist the breakfasts first my husband had a large cooked breakfast which he declared one of the best he'd ever had, tasty, great quality food, perfectly cooked and brilliant value for money! and I had the avocado on bloomer toast which was exquisite. The friendliest of places and justifiably very popular we recommend booking a table and reserving your favourite cake to avoid disappointment : Thank you for a lovely visit, we'll be back ...."

"Visited for lunch on a day trip to Cowes. Its hidden gem, one of the few restaurants you must visit while visiting IOW. This was our second visit, but definitely not the last. Full of character, great atmosphere, buzzing. They were really busy, and because we didn't book table beforehand, we waited around 10 min for them to get one ready for us, but it was worth it. The food was incredible as always, with plenty of options. The stuff was great, very attentive. We'll be back."

"We chose this restaurant because it has plenty of vegetarian choices and some unusual options. Our main courses were really tasty and the portions were generous we had the Haloumi and Asparagus Pad Thai, and the Cauliflower and Brussel Sprout Crepes. On the down side much of the asparagus in the Pad Thai was chewy and inedible. When I let the staff member know about this I got a slightly defensive response of 'you never can tell, I bought some tangerines which looked good the other day but they didn 't taste good '. You can test the tenderness of asparagus whilst cooking it so this wasn 't the best excuse. I ordered the creme brulee for dessert and it wasn 't good hot at the top, cold at the bottom and very eggy tasting. Service is slow we waited 30 minutes for our mains and at that point we were the only customers in the restaurant. Later customers were told it would be a 30 40 minute wait. Overall it was good though and there were other main courses I would go back to try. The prices are very reasonable."

"I am 58 years old and I have estimated that in that time I have had thousands of roast beef dinners, The Portland's roast beef is the best I have ever had, perfectly medium rare, perfect veg and a great selection of real ales. Now we have all been to a pub and had a nice meal then gone back a few months or a year later, the management or chef has changed and the quality has gone downhill, not here I have been going for the last 7 years and every time it's amazing, I think they have chained their chef to the cooker because it's the same one! I recommend this pub to all my friends and family and we keep returning. Thank you for another lovely meal and great service. Please could you move the whole pub to the mainland so we can go weekly : p.s. Please bring the same chef!"

"My partner treated me to a meal at Mojac’s and it didn’t disappoint! The whole setting was very cosy and the food was very tasty! The starters were incredible- we had the focaccia special the burrata bruschetta. Delicious. For the mains, I had the sea bass which was cooked perfectly and my partner had the lamb chump special. For dessert we both had the chocolate millionaire tart with vanilla ice cream. Not only was it delicious but it was presented beautifully. The service was great. Izzy Melissa were very accommodating and we were served very well. There is a wide selection of drinks also, so something for everyone. If you’re looking for a cosy atmosphere and a delicious meal for an occasion, I’d highly recommend Mojac’s restaurant!"
