"Had a wonderful meal here last night. The food was unreal, and the service amazing. My husband had told the restaurant and they did everything they could to make it extra special. They wrote 'Happy Birthday ' on my dessert plate, they took our first drinks off the bill and the Manager came over at the end of the evening to wish my happy birthday. Thank you!"

A fantastic evening from the moment we arrived. A warm welcome and excellent service throughout. Delicious food and drinks. The chocolate fondant dessert is to die for! We will definitely be returning.

it was my birthday and they gave me a free glass champagne and decorated my dessert plate and a candle that was not asked by one of my party. eating was amazing and personal very friendly and helpful will definitely go back xx

Been a few times now. Went with the family last night for my birthday. Food and service are always great. Very polite and helpful staff. Never had a bad experience there. Nice atmosphere and comfortable too and never rushed or asked to leave the table. Will definitely be back

"I originally did this review 3 years ago (pre covid). Am updating as have been back a few times since and it is still absolutely excellent. The menu is incredibly diverse but the quality throughout is exceptional. If you are sick of the usual chelmo chain slop and have picky eaters who want different cuisines you will do well here. I love the pastas and pizzas, have tried and loved schnitzel and stroganoff. They also do burgers I am tempted just to see their take on it but tbh there is so much more interesting stuff to try first. Highly recommended."

"Chelmsford was our chosen pit stop to break our 3hr journey. Came across this tearoom on line and reviews looked good. We phoned ahead to book once we were en route and I'm glad we did as it was reassuringly busy. We had a baguette and an omelette and salad. The omelette was beautiful and we ate every last bit of our lunches. We then had a homemade warm scone each with cream and jam. There is plenty of seating inside and out. Beware of the 1hr street parking though as very strict. We moved our car to the nearby carpark so that we didn't have to rush. Couldn't fault this lovely cafe and the ambience was an added extra. Staff very friendly and helpful too."

"I've been here a couple times before with my wife, the food's always banging except for a rare time I was disappointed. It's a safe choice, we would definitely recommend it. Our usual go-to is a Pad thai but I've tried the Singapore laksa and char grilled duck and all 3 are delicious, definitely worth trying and portions are a very good size. There's usually a 2 for 1 mocktail offer too, which we always grab. We haven't really tried the desserts or starters, we had the gyoza once and they were okay, nothing special and same applies to spring rolls. The service and atmosphere is normally good but busy times like Friday nights can ruin it a little. Overall solid restaurant (which is also halal, just ask), the chain as a whole is consistently good."

"We decided to change locations simply because they serve the best sandwich in town. My go-to choice is a toasted thin granary bread with ham and their delicious homemade coleslaw, all served by one of their attractive servers. They also offer Sandwich Platters for parties, and I've heard they even provide entertainment with dancers."

"here for Christmas moms. beautiful restaurant, but on a Tuesday evening at the beginning of December was in the grunde empty, only one table taken, although another table later taken in the night. presumably in comparison to bogaz in the moulsham street and eating was just as good. this restaurant is located directly in front of the actual center of chelmsford, but is recommended to visit."
