Popped in after a day off sight seeing hadn't booked and it was a Friday night but no problem, opted for the set menu, service from Aga was excellent and food was beautiful, highly recommended!

It’s a smart bright elegant bistro in the centre of Canterbury’s Longmarket Shopping Centre. An enticing prix fixe for £14.95 offered a charcuterie selection, an 8oz sirloin and frites (a £3.50 upgrade from steak frites) and plum clafoutis. What’s not to like?

I went to this restaurant with my fiance to celebrate my birthday. They gave me a complimentary glass of champagne and wrote "happy birthday" on my dessert. The service was fantastic, with the wait staff giving excellent recommendations and the food was truly memorable.

New Year's Eve Dinner for 2. The first time I have dined in a Cote for some time and the food was spot on. This was a fixed menu but there was plenty of choice. Even thought the restaurant was busy the service was attentive without being rushed. I'd happily come back any time.

We have been to CB quite a few times over the years usually ok, even though the menu is quite boring. However on today's visit we did notice how much smaller the portions are. I had Fish Parmentier. It was 3 prawns, a couple of pieces of white fish, some sauce and a spoonful of mash for £14.75. The Breton Stew, the same issues for £17.25. Disappointing. i know that everyone is trying to save money but I don't think we will be eating there again

My husband and I celebrated both our tenth wedding anniversary and his birthday at Cote Canterbury on Saturday night. We were lucky enough to be able to get a reservation in spite of leaving it a little late to book. The service was excellent attentive yet laid back too. The food though! It was absolutely incredible. At the end of our meal, my husband was given a lovely little chocolate pudding, thoughtfully decorated with 'Happy Birthday '. A lovely touch : We enjoyed it so much, we are already looking for an excuse to return!

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, but unfortunately, the experience is marred by the unfriendly staff. Our waiter showed no warmth towards our children and seemed to sneer at us all evening, only changing his attitude towards a group of French customers. This behavior was not unique to our visit, as other friends have experienced the same treatment. It is disappointing that a server would display borderline racist behavior towards guests. Despite the delicious food, I will not be returning to this establishment. It is a shame that the service overshadowed the enjoyable meal.

We decided to dine at Côté on a whim and were pleased to find that they were accepting reservations for an early dinner. The atmosphere was welcoming and accommodating when we requested to be seated further back in the restaurant rather than near the front door. The service was attentive but not overbearing. As we waited for our main courses of sea bream and confit duck, we enjoyed olives and a glass of wine. I requested to have the duck without orange sauce, which was easily accommodated. The red cabbage and potatoes dauphinois were perfect accompaniments. Although I didn't have dessert, my friend thoroughly enjoyed her spicy crème brûlée. One of the most baffling experiences ever... Came for smoked salmon and eggs, and a granola. Waited 35 minutes, during which time the table next to us received, then sent back a breakfast (twice because the hollandaise sauce was cold. They left without paying for it. When we asked how much longer, there was some consternation and then ten minutes later they appeared, so Im guessing it was forgotten. The eggs were burnt, and the salmon was cooked (looked fried??! ..Im genuinely without any clue as to how this will have happened. We left without eating, and the guy who dealt with us was really apologetic but the (I'm guessing manager just sat next to us playing with her laptop. Madness. Don't...
