"Excellent breakfast buffet both cooked and continental with a view of the Thames. I especially liked the coconut Bircher muesli. Vegetarian options: I didn’t see anything explicitly labelled vegetarian or vegan (eg vegetarian sausages) but there were plenty of options (such as smoothies, fruit, nuts, muesli, cooked mushrooms/tomatoes/hash browns/eggs). We were asked about dietary requirements on arrival so it’s likely they would provide something appropriate if asked. "I wanted to try this place after reading such rave reviews as I thought I might be missing something special so called in here to give it a go.. I have to say we were warmly welcomed and the staff were lovely and very efficient...indeed as the food arrived pretty quickly after placing our order.. Although the food was nice and everything was fresh it was not the amazing experience I was expecting after reading other glowing reviews, I would also add the coffee was good but the bottled beer was very expensive. The place is also quite small with low ceilings and can get noisy as clearly demonstrated by the irritating gobby guy dressed in overalls that kept coming in talking loudly to the girl behind the counter and you could hear nothing but his big mouth throughout the place and would have been delighted to have shut it for him to get some peace and quite.. I cannot really say anything negative about the quality of the food or the service but it just did not live up to my expectations."

"Titillate your taste buds. The freshest of breads. With amazing olive oil. And a Mediterranean salad to start with. Great olives on the side. For mains the chef made a special ravioli dish for us. It wasn't on the menu. No effort too much. We...were touched at this display of proper restaurantness. The tiramisu for our dessert was to absolutely die for. I really also wanted the special limoncello sorbet but whilst the spirit was willing the body was sensibly saying another day. A big shout out to Marcus and Christine. They understand what hospitality is all about. And the complimentary limoncello shots before we left were awesome with lovely chocolates."

"I often dine at Caffe Gondola and sometimes choose a starter from their wonderful Specials Menu instead of a main course, depending on how hungry I am. On my last visit, I decided to try the scallops with chili and garlic served on a bed of spinach, and I must say it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced and I particularly liked how the Chef cut the scallops into small pieces, making them tender and flavorful. The food at this restaurant is always top-notch, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and it's always nice to see familiar faces among the regular customers."
