De Rode Koe - Speisekarte

Went off the main track to find this little restaurant. Great selection of vegetarian and non for all. Service was very good and the owner/staff speak English if needed.

We found out about this place from our landlord and he told us it was nothing flash but good value.....and it exceeded our expectations. Really good vegan food. Risotto was the best.

I found this restaurant on the internet prior to visiting Lille. As a vegetarian, I often struggle in northern France. I could not recommend this place highly enough. Really delicious food, lovely wine and very good staff. Even my meat-eating friend was impressed. If only there were more places like this in Lille.

We found this restaurant on a search for vegetarian/vegan restaurants and came for an evening meal. It is such a lovely place, good ambience, fantastic service and lovely fresh food. It catered to all of us and we were so glad we stopped here. We would definitely return to this great restaurant. I can't overstate how good the service was! The food was really filling, good size portions and very tasty.

If you're vegetarian or vegan this restaurant definitely deserves a spot on your must visit list while in Lille. Their menu focuses mainly on meat-free cuisine, although they do serve a few dishes with meat as well, such as beef hamburgers and fish risotto. Our waiter told us everything served is organic and locally sourced. Definitely good value for money. We wouldn't hesitate to return if we decide to visit Lille again. Speisekarte ansehen

Finally a place in Lille that serves a variety of vegetarian food. 1 dining hall with 20 seatings, wooden chairs & tables, but white-tiled floor. Also take-away. Toilets small but clean.1 young waiter a little bit stressed, 1 older one very friendly and welcoming and supportive explaining food options.Food was very nice though not excellent, size of helpings was decent. We had risotto and assiette végétarien.2 apéritifs & 2 main courses €22.

We ended up here because it was a very warm evening and every other pavement table for miles around was taken, but YOU SHOULD MAKE IT A DESTINATION.Not a complicated menu so we chose the fish plat de jour, which it was decided was whiting. Gosh, it was good. Chunks of white fish stood out with their pure fish taste from a background of vegetables and herbs, all perfectly cooked.Our maitre d' (and waiter) said that he knew the chef of old and jumped at the chance to work with her in this new venture, as he trusted her talent. We have no doubt in the validity of his decision. Do make the effort to find this excellent restaurant.

Having had a late breakfast , we had been in no hurry to find a place for lunch. When we felt hungry, we found we had left it too late for several restaurants we went into told us just that - despite 15 minutes left of their stated hours. They must be doing too well!We were lucky however for we chanced on De Rode Koe which has extended hours. We were warmly welcomed and found the menu to our liking with something a bit different. My son had a homemade burgher and I had a tasty omelette. A carafe of wine rounded the meal off. Clearly people know about this restaurant as there was a steady flow of diners - nearly all local.
