Delhi Grill - Speisekarte

I went to this restaurant with my family and friends. The staff was rude and the food was just okay. It's not worth it and I would never recommend or go back again.

We booked a table for 8 half an hour very last minute on a busy Friday. The staff were very accommodating and the food incredible. Could not fault the evening, thank you.

Staff fitted us in after a (welcome) 30 mins wait in a local hostelry. Service was great throughout including fab advice as to what and how much to order. Had a great evening and will be back

Great food a warm welcome. Everything from the veg samosas to my chicken biryani was excellent. It’s tucked away 5 mins walk from Angel Islington so a great place to eat pre film or theatre we went before heading on to Sadlers Wells which is less than 10 mins walk away. Good good, fresh flavours and very reasonably priced. We’ll be back

I made the mistake of asking a waiter about the quantity of one of the dishes we’d ordered and got an aggressive slap down comment telling me to “read the menu”. It was true that I had missed that there were two items not one so all was well but I didn’t deserve the dressing down. Judging by the demeanour of the individual he clearly shouldn’t be in a customer facing position. Overall the food was fine but it’s hard to recommend based on the overall experience.

At first, the unassuming entrance almost made me reconsider, but watching someone enjoy their meal through the window convinced me to give it a try. I'm glad I did because the food turned out to be outstanding. The staff was casual and the decor simple, not what you would expect from a high-end dining establishment. Despite that, the service was friendly and efficient, and the food was truly top-notch. The portions were generous, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the prices were reasonable for the upscale location. The ice-cold Cobra beer was a nice touch, the cutlery was of good quality, and the napkins were nice as well. I definitely plan on returning to this place.

As a newcomer to Indian cuisine, I had heard that London offers the best Indian food. After dining at Delhi Grill, I can confirm that this is true. The restaurant provided a memorable and enjoyable experience with unique flavors and spices. I particularly enjoyed the spicy butter chicken with basmati rice, which had the perfect blend of heat, savory, and sweet notes. The naan bread and poppadoms with a variety of chutneys were also delicious. Despite wanting to try their desserts, I was too full from the satisfying meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend visiting Delhi Grill in the Islington Green area of London.

I visited this restaurant as it was one of best Indian recommendations in TimeOut. However, I was disappointed. It was an average Indian restaurant in London but definitely not one of the best as TimeOut says. For a person with no experience of the real flavours of North Indian food, this might impress them but I found the flavours and textures not quite there in this restaurant. The menu was pleasantly a short one, giving one an impression the restaurant specialises in food from a certain part of India. Overall comments: This place was part of our Anonymous dinner rota. We were quite happy during eating and on the day, but the next few days were rough as 3/4 of us were ill. I wouldn’t go again even though the food tasted nice. Go at your own risk as it is good value for money if you can stomach food made in an unclean environment.
