Very nice modern pub in Billericay. Delicious food, varied menu courtesy friendly service. Great week offers too!

first visit here. loved the facility and atmosphere. efficient service of beautiful waitresses. my wife enjoyed her generous part of leber and speck, but my squid and chips were not the best piece of fish I had.

Good food, not cheapest menu, not lots of food choices if your fussy, nice atmosphere, altho? New waitress n didn't bring our change back from a cash payment?? Don't like people to presume she can have the change as tip! £8

Had a delicious Sunday lunch service was so so.... a the hostess barked at us when we arrived and we had to chase drinks but the food was OUTWTANDING! Such great roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings for a pub lunch. Good portion of beef also.

This wasn't the usual restaurant experience as it was a buffet following a funeral service. There was an excellent variety of sandwiches, chicken quiches etc. and it was all very tasty. The tea and coffee was replenished frequently and the staff were very helpful.

Four of my five party members were disappointed by the choice of lunch. I had eaten a few times in the Duke of York in the evening and was satisfied with the choice. I recommended it to my friends and I'm sorry to say anything, but one was disappointed. We are unlikely to visit again.

it turns out that Tuesday night is buy 1 get 1 free on burger and pizza. can not speak for the pizza, but the great burgers we had were excellent. the chips were freshly cooked, the beer (3 cask ales on! wow! was wonderful and my 20-year-old son was happy with his esoteric old mout cider! I also have to comment on the service that was inviting and friendly from the beginning and on this wise further until we went, satisfied and determined to come back! really very good! recommended.

The food here is really nice it can not fail at all, but the service and the time we had to wait was ridiculous 5.30 table was well booked in advance to sit near 6 due to the table was not ready once sitting and finally our order had taken it lasted to arrive for an hour, so not to eat until away 7 if booked at 5,30 is not really on!!! We then had dessert, which was nice and paid for the bill, how the waitress didn't give us our change back and just turned around and said, oh wanted your change back? What I think was rude, then she kicked us right on the table when they had another booking!!! I would come back to try, but maybe not a Saturday, as the gluten-free menu was brilliant for my dau...

After we had spent a day in southend on the sea and then in the lake meadow country park, we were randomly looking for a place to eat and came over the duke of york pub. I must say that my wife and I were not disappointed. at the arrival were both tania and kristy very friendly and showed us on our table. in the evening we did not have to get up from our table, as both tania and kristy picked up our order on the table for drinks and eat and bought them over, even if the place was busy and there were only two of them.
