"We chose this place at random to have quick lunch. It was busy but tables were available, they sit us down and gave us English menu. The waiter hardly understood us. I am not an ignorant person but i do not know Spanish except basic words. (I do prefer communicate in english when i travel as hardly anyone knows the other two languages ! speak). Now, It took ages to get our food. People around us got their food before us, even the ones who came in later. On top of this, they got our order wrong. Waiter told us he got order wrong because he didn't understand english menu, he didn't know how to translate it. Okay... We were not the only english speaking customers there. I think its poor, if you want english speaking or tourists with not much of Spanish to come in, if you want their business you need to make an effort to understand your own menu. In my opinion food was average. Service poor and slow. Quick lunch end up being slow disappointment."

We wanted to eat the letter and little less have been angry. cow tataki a deception in every rule. the other two good dishes, but don't throw rockets. We also asked for a bottle of wine that was hot, they couldn't ask how it was. disappointment.

A very pleasant restaurant perfectly located across the street from the Prado Museum. An authentic, good and friendly restaurant, a nice surprise for it being so close to the museum. Authentic spanish food, well prepared and a pleasanr environment. Our waiter, an older gentleman, was very kind and caring and made great recommendations.

I was very pleasantely surprised by the delicious Spanish food on offer at this small restaurant in a very popular street at the back of the Westing Palace Hotel- I find the other places a bit on the expensive side, so I gave this one a try as they have a 3-course menu del dia for 12 euros: it was fantastic! generous portions, yummy bread, a drink and a homemade dessert, with warm and friendly service. I will definitely return and recommend!

a dish with a denomination as attractive as: fried eggs with free hen tip with teruel ham and white and red arbizu chistorras, with crispy fries turned out to be a pair of mismade eggs, with some slices of ham pulled over with four cuts of chistorra on a bed of cold fries. We also order a dish of cecina that they brought cut without polishing at all, accompanied by two too thick slices bathed in tomato. The artichokes and the pysto were good. Maybe they just had a bad day.

We found this place by chance because it was near our hotel; it looked more inviting than some other restaurants on the same street. We were greeted warmly and given a table, which was not always the case in some other places. We found the menu to be authentic, but different than most other places we ate in town, which was kind of fun. We actually ended up eating here twice because the first experience was so positive. They were accommodating, and even with our limited Spanish we did just fine! My favorite was a thin fried chicken cutlet with pimiento cheese so delicious!
