"This restaurant is a hidden gem. My friend and I stopped by after a 4-day wild camping trip in the woods, and despite our disheveled appearance, we were warmly welcomed. Although the kitchen was closed, we were directed to the Abergavenny Arms and received excellent service from the lady at the bar. We had previously met a gentleman who we believe is the owner, and he provided us with some interesting information about the building's history. Thank you very much! Price range: £1-10 per person. "My wife and I were looking forward to visiting this cafe in view of the excellent reviews . However when we arrived we were approached by a chap , possibly the owner who, instead of offering assistance to get over the threshold step told my...wife and it would be better if we did not go in as it may be unsafe. We couldn't believe this man's attitude, offered no assistance and basically made us feel unwelcome. We left disheartened that such discriminatory people still exist , although we ended up having an excellent breakfast in the Coffee Grind around the corner. I have to say in all my years visiting older buildings which do not have purpose built disabled access this is the first time I have had such a negative unfriendly experience ."

"We used to frequent this pub often in the past, but heard that it had changed ownership, so we decided to meet our friends here. We were excited to catch up with friends we hadn't seen in a while. However, when we arrived, my husband inquired about their ale selection and was informed they only had Harveys with no other options. The server who brought our drinks had dirty fingernails, which was off-putting. When it came time to order food, one of our friends asked about a Christmas menu and was told it needed to be pre-ordered, as stated on their website. Despite our frequent visits in the past, we had not checked the website. The food was tasty, but the service was lacking. We had to request drinks and were not asked about our meals once they arrived. At 9:40, a lady approached us with the bill and informed us they were closing soon. When we asked for another drink, we were denied. My husband requested to remove the service charge, which caused some tension with the lady taking payment. She questioned why he wouldn't pay it, stating that everyone charges it, which we found rude. Overall, the poor service has discouraged us from returning or recommending the pub to others, despite the delicious food. It's disappointing, as we had hoped the new management would focus on attracting and retaining customers."

"Firstly I would like to say that this restaurant has just been refurbished, and it didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant, more like a cafe at the beach somewhere! It felt very sparse and most Italian restaurants I e been to have proper tablecloths on the table but these were plastic and I noticed one table it was tapped up underneath, in my opinion it needs to be made more warmly and have more of a family feel. The food was really nice,although I would advise anyone to make sure they double check their order as I chose chicken in a sauce really nice which came with vegetables but I also asked for a separate portion of potatoes, when it arrived I just had chicken with a few cut up potatoes and a very very small garnish of salad ! I mentioned this to the waitress who had taken our order and she said I know but the chef had given you extra salad !! Sorry but salad is not vegetables , it clearly said on the menu it came with vegetables. Having said about the above issue, the meals we all had were nice and the staff gave us a very warm welcome and because of the blip they said we could have a free pudding…..not sure if we all did or it was just mine but I never see the bill as we were treated to this. To finish the evening off we were given a lovely limoncello shot. We would definitely go back. Thankyou for a lovely evening in your restaurant"

"no good experience at all, ordered a takeaway and in the rule is zorba fantastic, but the meat was over boiled and chewy, the Bulgarian rice was dry and tasteless, the chips were soggy and undercooked and the brot was changed from a flatbread to a thick naan type brot that is not so delicious. a very disappointing experience. I'm gonna go to another one from now on. as a shame as this was my favorite withdrawal earlier, but I don't know what happened"

" been a while since I last visited this gem of a cafe, but it did not disappoint. Camden Road Cafe provides a cozy, relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying a quiet cup of coffee. The service was friendly and efficient, and the coffee was top-notch. I highly recommend stopping by this charming cafe for a peaceful coffee break away from the hustle and bustle of the city center."
