"Just spent 7 days in CST and probably due to the time of year, there weren't many eateries evident in town. We found Bar Elisir to serve really good food in an great atmosphere. We actually ate here 6 days out of 7 and were not disappointed. The owners and waitress were really friendly and are happy to cater for changes to the dishes if you would like. I found the young man who waited on a couple of evenings difficult to communicate with and he did not speak very much at all. He was a bit like the proverbial silent waiter!! Pizzas are really good but ask to cut down on the cheese a bit as it makes the pizza base a bit soggy. The fish, chicken and beef dishes are all well cooked with good sized portions. Drinks are reasonably priced and you could expect to spend around 50 euros on a meal for 2. The ice cream is also recommended, especially the cherry flavour. Do your self a favour if in the area, drop in and say Hi, and then stay for a meal."

Good value pizza on main boulevard. Nice setting with friendly waiters. Pizzas were ok but we have had better. Lovely stray cat loved the pizza:

I passed this gelateria while visiting Santa Cesarea Terme. I had a cone with nutella/caramel and something chocolate with cream. It was the BEST ice cream in my 10 days Puglia. The extorior might not be appealing, but go in for the ice cream!

das eher unauffällige Restaurant Bar Elisir war das einzige Restaurant, das noch in der Nachsaison (Ende Oktober) geöffnet war. Wir haben dort abends gegessen. Spaghetti vongole waren reichlich und gut, die gegrillten schweren Fisch auch und die Pizza schmeckten uns sehr gut. eher ungewöhnlich für italics, wenn Sie an österreichische Pizzas verwendet werden.

Don't be put off by some distinctly average reviews. We ate here twice whilst staying in SCT and both times had a really good meal pizza one night and fish of the day the other. Prices are really reasonable for both food and drinks and the staff are very friendly. Lovely choice of wonderful ice creams form the gelataria for dessert. To be honest, there's not much competition in SCT in October but this is a good choice for a very good value meal regardless.

I ate here because the prices on the menu were honest. Sadly the owners are not honest. They totally ripped me off with my pasta. All none seafood pastas on the menu are €9.50 l was charged €13 for a very average oily spaghetti ragu. Even the spaghetti coz we is €10. It left a really bad taste in my mouth and ruined my day. I even helped them get more bums on seats by translating for tourists that couldn’t speak Italian. So sad. I will never go back there and l certainly wouldn’t recommend it.

We thought this would be a nice, quaint, hole in the wall restaurant. As it turned out, we had to wait about 15 minutes before anyone paid us any attention, although they promptly looked after some Italians that arrived after us. The service was extremely slow, unco-ordinated, with us having to ask for things like plates for the bread and olive oil. The food was not warmed properly, and to be honest was to the standard of the worst British cafe rather than a good local Italian restaurant. The cost of wine by the glass, house wine, was ridiculous! The only thing that saved the place was the locally made ice cream. Now that I would recommend.
