"This place is essentially someone's front room, that they've opened up and kind of tried to decorate to invite people in for what turns out to be a really **** good meal. The place has a personal touch, with some photos of the chef with...people around the place. The front entrance where you walk in is basically the stock room and the accounting office. The wine menu is hand-written (and there is nothing below so be aware). And all of these little idiosyncrasies and peculiarities are all part of the charm of this restaurant (that has about covers). The food is really delicious. It's gourmet, but with a down-to-earth feel to it. It's heart-warming food, French through-and-through but with touches of Japanese thrown in. The food is definitely worth the money. The experience as a whole can be too, if you just immerse fully in its (understated) eccentricity. All-in-all it's definitely worth a visit, but don't expect to be treated like royalty when you arrive. We also asked for a gift card for Christmas, which they don't do because it's too complicated'. We then asked if we made our own card, gave the people the money in cash for the meal, and the chef just signed his name to make it a bit more personal, would that be feasible. No, also too complicated. So another French-style restaurant that plays by its own rules and you either like it or lump it ! But go, and revel in the experience and enjoy the food and delicious wine."

Owned and run by a Japanese couple this tiny place servers delicious flavorful meals. Excellent selection of natural wines to go with the metal. However, you absolutely MUST reserve.

One of the best restaurants i've been in. Really excellent food. Quite expensive and the place is not the best from the point of view of the atmosphere but the food is really superb.

a delight as always: high quality products magnified by a lover of our terroir, a very beautiful selection of natural wines all in an authentic setting! It’s good we don’t get tired of it! Thank you!

An off the beaten track restaurant, where the owners care little about the premises but take great pride in the dishes being served. A Japanese chef adds his personal touch to French cuisine to the customers' delight. A place where local Japanese people meet. All...together, a friendly place even if the lady waitress is a bit gruff. Speisekarte ansehen

I went there a few times as cannot beat the amazing food for great value. If you go for lunch, it's even better , euros (I believe) for a three course meal, and there's often a euros supplement if you want to eat...dishes with finer ingredients, like seabass, st-jacques etc... Amazing value. The chef cooks everything for you, with ingredients straight from the market. He is a very talented chef, really has a passion for food. Would go back in a heartbeat.

You cannot go into this restaurant expecting anything like a classic fine-dining experience. The wine selection is MAGNIFICENT, the food will have you asking your companion to retrain you from licking the plate, but the atmosphere and service are informal and, in my opinion, misunderstood....If French cuisine prepared artfully by a master Japanese chef in a relaxed environment with an excellent wine pairing sounds at all tempting to you, give En Mets Fais Ce Qu'il Te Plait a try! It's great for a business lunch or a special occasion dinner and I've been a repeat customer for both.

What a shame this fantastic address is spoilt by the shabby (even grubby) decor which, for me, really detracts from the whole dining experience. Chipped tables, heater stained walls, cobwebs all over the lighting fixtures, entrance filled with today's shopping (including toilet paper) ... You...enter and feel like leaving straight away. Which we didn't and thank goodness because the food was wonderful. for a starter (cold lamb cutlet with balsamic and raspberries), main (Britanny mackerel) and dessert (yoghurt froth with verbena). Would probably go back, but only at night, with the lights down low ... Speisekarte ansehen

I was invited to lunch by a friend from Universite de Lyon which is nearby. It’s easy to miss the place; I walked past and had to rely on my phone to find it. I decided to go directly to the plat, even though...the entrees sounded very good because the desserts sounded even better. I had fish — cod— which was served with sweet potatoes, leeks, small carrots and broccoli. Everything was perfectly prepared and the meal so satisfying I ended lunch with only a coffee and no dessert which I still regret. This turned out to be the best meal I had over a three week period, and the standards were high. The chef prepares excellent ingredients very, very well and brings imagination to the task. The me...

A Japanese chef revisits French traditional dishes and brings out flavors and combinations that reflect both great culinary cultures, showing craftsmanship and respect for quality ingredients. For starters I had the chef's version of a lyonnaise salad with arugula, quail eggs, Parmesan and an amazing...bacon. But the menu depends on what the chef finds in the market, and the care he takes in selecting the ingredients comes through in every dish. So each time, a different choice will be offered, counting on great quality in the dishes and in the wine list, which also changes according to what the Chef finds. We tried a Pinot Gris from Alsace, with the exact combination of wood, bee wax, and s...

"This place is an enchantment! Six-person table, we were on the terrace for 15 minutes when we decided that we could have been less hot inside. No worries, table in the room 3 minutes later. An interior full of softness, with direct view of the chef that applies on each plate (finition to the clip). Aperitive, put in the mouth and he went for a succession of dishes in 7 services. And there is a pleasure at all levels: each plate is a small aesthetic and gustative masterpiece. The chef describes his complex and intelligent dishes with simplicity and modesty. Responsible and sustainable ingredients, bold but always balanced taste associations: the social networks of the restaurant did not lie to us! Wines in perfect harmony with the dishes (with the chef who even taquins my familiar friends by bringing them his bottles of heart to the blind. Everything was perfect! I had already had the chance to come and I wanted to let people know I love. Everyone loved, two people planned business meals and everyone just thinks of coming back! The menu in 7 services is to be discovered absolutely. A great thank you to the chef was able to intelligently adapt his menu to one of the guests who did not eat meat without the feeling that he was injured. Under his nanny, he is of absolute sweetness and has conquered everyone! The dream night we needed, a good time. Thank you for this delicious moment (in all senses of the term!"
