"I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant-trattoria, perched in the suggestive Salita di San Bernardo, on one of the rare evenings free from work commitments during the trip to Sanremo. Very well known and frequented by Italian and French tourists, it presents itself as a characteristic place, with real home-made cuisine on offer. The set menu I tried included a gigantic plate of first courses, with four types of pasta, followed by a cutlet with fried potatoes. I found all the courses well made and enjoyable, also thanks to the aforementioned menu formula at the reasonable price of €27.50. In all sincerity, both I and the other diners had some reservations about the management of the place. The restaurant, actually, does not shine for cleanliness and care; the very messy open kitchen overlooking one of the rooms, as well as obvious general neglect, from the counter to the floors and windows, do not give a good impression. The listless and unempathetic staff, then, does not contribute to improving the situation. In any case, I can't say I ate badly and I feel like giving an average rating."
