"Absolutely superb. Large restaurant in Barnsley town center. Second visit today with a small party. There is plenty of space between tables so you don't feel crowded. Once you are seated and have ordered your drinks which are brought to the table simply make your way to the extensive buffet area. After you are seated the waiting staff will serve a large selection of meats and will keep returning until you turn the service card over (Each person has a small circular card, one side indicates you want to keep getting served with meat the other indicates you no longer want to be served more meat). The food was excellent and we all enjoyed the whole experience. The staff are very polite and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend."

"Excellent service, first class starter (garlic mushrooms),had beef in Yorkshire puddings for main meal , the beef was first class,but unfortunately the Yorkshire puddings tasted very wet had they have been a little crisper would have given at least another star, maybe next time, Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"Superb food probably the best I have had for years. The chef is fantastic all the flavours just flowed together. Great decor, spotlessly clean and great service. The fact that they are booked up for months speaks volumes. Thank you for a fantastic night. Update 2.3.22 new chef, second time we have had the pleasure of her cooking, fantastic,very different menu to last twice we have eaten at The Secret Italian. Can't wait to go again. "We were unfamiliar with the area, living in Sheffield but we popped in to see if they did a vegetarian breakfast. It is probably the best veggie breakfast I have had since moving back to Sheffield a year ago. Vegetarian sausages were amazing and breakfast did not taste greasy at all. Also a really good cuppa in a decent sized pot. Staff were very welcoming and asked further about our dietary requirements to make sure they weren't going to give us something we were intolerant to which gave us confidence. They are obviously very popular with repeat customers as they greeted many of the other customers by name. Think we will have to find an excuse to come back."

"Food was mostly lovely, few things could be improved but overall good. Think they need a few more staff as they're all run off their feet and we waited a while to be served as they were trying to do so many things (but nice staff). The main thing that is hugely off putting is the awful hollow tinny noise level, definitely needs some soft furnishings or something to absorb some of the sound so you can hear yourself speaking to the person sat next to you. The outside seating is fab. Nice cocktails."
